I always make sure to read the crowd well enough to properly engage with them. In this case the participants were up for fun exchange which made the program spontaneous and enjoyable for everyone.

Years back I hosted Jullena's (Bride) 18th Birthday. Lena is my best friend's sister. They were two of the first few people who trusted me, even though I had nothing to prove.

During our virtual meeting for the reception program flow, JC (groom) & Lena (Bride) brought up a story that had happened during Lena's birthday (which I can't remember anymore, lol is this aging? Hahaha)

During her 18th birthday, I insisted that the roses must be complete and that we have to look for a proxy on the spot. This is when JC an acquaintance of Lena comes in (they go to the same church), they were not close or anything near friends but I guess I was playing Cupid unconsciously hahaha

and the rest is history.

Last July, I was privileged to host for them again, this time their wedding! It was such a blessing seeing their union, and seeing their family and friends celebrate with them

Story time:

2011 - Julie was turning 18 while her sister 15, a double celebration (I was 18 too by the time)

Julie messaged me, telling me to host their party, during that time I knew nothing.

Lakas ng loob at kapal ng muka, all I knew was to talk, thatโ€™s it.

Now looking back, I canโ€™t imagine how I would turn out as a host without the trust they have invested in me.

Their confidence in me in 2011 has fueled the passion I have now, the passion to contribute and deliver the best service to clients.

With this, I am grateful, Julie and to the rest of your fam, salamat dahil hinayaan mo ako, salamat dahil pinili mo ako, salamat dahil nagtiwala ka sakin.

In this industry, yes you get paid and sometimes way better than the 8-5pm day-job.

But what make me feel more alive are the smiles, laughter, dances, the appreciation of the guests.

Uuwi kang pagod, paos at masakit ang paa, pero sa paghiga mo para magpahinga, nakangiti kang magpapasalamat sa maykapal.
