Flowers can heighten our emotions through our senses of sight, smell, and touch. Pressed flowers make it possible to capture that emotion and moment in time. The art of pressing flowers makes it possible to preserve nature’s beauty and become part of our everyday aesthetics when applied to accessories and household items. This craft is the product of the universal desire to preserve plants beyond their natural limits and express the parallel spirituality of man and nature.

Back Mi-Kyoung, the first Pressed Flower Master in Korea, desires to share her passion for preserved and pressed flowers to Filipinos. Using her extensive experience and knowledge, she wishes to inspire people and to introduce a new way of looking at the beauty of flowers. She dreams of making artworks using the flowers that only grow in the Philippines, and to promote an interest in this art form as a means of cultural exchange.

The centerpiece of the PTGP Ruby Jubilee is a grand concert in partnership with LYRIC
Pianos and CCP. This auspicious moment, a first in Philippine music history, will take place on 18 November at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo of CCP where 40 pianos will be set-up on stage and as many as 80 pianists will play together. The program will include the popular Symphony No. 40 in G minor by Mozart and a commissioned work for 40 pianos by Agot Espino among others.

Being one of the earliest music organizations in the Philippines, PTGP fervently hopes
that the prism of its Ruby Jubilee will go on to draw inspiration through committed musicianship and scholarly pedagogy as well as continue to inspire and produce pianists par excellence.

The IPMS Philippines BA club has been involved in different activities which include working closely with the armed forces of the Philippines, both the Army and thePhilippine Air Forces, various public and private schools for lectures, reaching out activities and static exhibits. IPMS BA have also been fortunate enough to be able to contribute to national museums, private collections and gallerie...s. They have been regularly contacted by private collectors for
different scale model builds showcasing history in diorama; Local and
International museums exhibits both commissioned and donated scale models from the club; the extensive club history and with over 40 years of lineage have proven that we Filipinos can excel and be at par with rest the of the world or if not, the best.
The 9th National Scale Model Competition opens today October 17 till Friday October 21 at SM Megamall, Activity Center.
