Whether it’s peak time or lean time, we should do our best because our couples are counting on us to deliver the plans of the biggest event of their lives. We must never use lack of sleep or being tired as excuses. Rather, we should plan our days & stay healthy so we can perform well every single time.

The most intimate wedding we coordinated was of the union of Ian and Naomi :)

There were only 8 of them including the bride and groom. I was so happy we were able to push through with the outdoor ceremomy despite the light drizzles.

The reception had no program — just the first dance and the dances of the couples so the brother of the bride could propose to his girlfriend.

After the sparkler ending, their photographer, Mico Studios, showed their on-site photo slideshow via laptop. This was his surprise :)

Congrats and best wishes, Ian and Naomi ❤️

Aside from Mico Studios, we also worked with Kreative Machines, il fiore flower boutique, Libante Strings - Experience World Class Music, The Farm at San Benito, Makeup By Jasmine Patiño, & Artuz101 Professional Lights and Sound Rental Inc.

Jonas & Ella chose to have an intimate wedding.
As with most intimate weddings, we had great reactions from the crowd during the speeches and games.

Happy to have met Lotus in person -- finally. Lotus and I talked years back before she got married. She inquired then but I was already booked.

Congrats and best wishes, Jonas and Ella :)

Every love story is unique. Couples aren't copycats of each other; therefore, programs should also reflect these differences. An emcee should not have a "one size fits all" mentality when planning the program with the bride and groom :)

After so many years of having weddings in Ville Sommet Tagaytay, I finally had one outdoors. :)

I loved the spontaneous dancing entrance of the parents and PS. We also had fun with the dances of the entourage. The couple chose meaningful songs for their first dance and dances with parents.

They had a bet on the bride or groom challenge that people enjoyed and yes, it was really a fun wedding — almost no one left till we ended with their same day edit :)

I am so late with posting but bear with me, please ❤️

Paolo and Erin didn’t want a lot of games. They wanted a straightforward program and lots of time to party :)

Well the party started earlier than expected because their entourage performed. Of course, the couple had their first dance as well while their bridesmaid and brother sang their chosen song :)

When we ended the program, the party was in full swing right away — the bride and groom even included the suppliers. Haha!

Congrats and best wishes, Paolo and Erin :)

Roller coaster ... the past three days I emceed in pure English, pure Filipino, then Taglish. This sequence doesn't happen very often so I want to make sure I remember this. The medium per day was based on couple's requests.

I think in English because my mama started my language journey with English. I became comfortable with Filipino because of my wawa; however, emceeing in pure Filipino is still daunting. In the past, i made scripts so I could confidently emcee in Filipino. This time though, I decided to just research for certain key words so that I won't grope for them while talking in front. I also sprayed my valor-bergamot perfume to help boost my confidence. Oh i felt so triumphant when I ended the program! Tagumpay! ❤️

Thank you, dear couples, for choosing to have me at the helm of your reception programs ❤️

P.S. I've been remiss in posting here but I will do my best to catch up. ❤️

Started the day in Conrad even before sunrise for Kim & Maureen -- lots of ladies for make-up & we wanted to be on top of things from start to end, ie at 11:44pm, when we took the group photos after turnover. :)

We were early for the wedding mass in Santuario de San Jose but we did encounter traffic going back to Conrad for the reception. Good thing the couple had pritchon for cocktails -- people really liked it. After, we had a fun reception program & people had enough energy to dance the night away. Yay! :)

Former couple and current couple ❤️

It's always extra special to see former couples at weddings i am called upon to emcee.

Daisy and Pau really pulled out all the stops when they prepared for their first dance. It was also touching yet enjoyable when Daisy performed with her dad.

We had fun with the games -- the best seller couple's game as well as the bato bato pick version they wanted to do. Everyone was game!

Congrats and best wishes, Pau and Daisy! :)

09/05/2023

I was asked yesterday why I do not include personal coordinators and a program DJ in my package.

I don’t do this because:

1) I trust the coordinators whom I am working with — I know that if I pass on the right instructions, things will happen as planned. We are there as a team to help the couple, after all.

2) I usually get to suggest efficient sound and visual suppliers when couples book me. Thus, I trust their program DJs and techs to pull of what is needed. I also take time to discuss the program with them so they know the expectations.

Besides, even if I bring in a great program DJ, an inefficient sound supplier can still cause problems during the program (example: speakers that aren’t set up properly, mics that keep turning off in the middle of speeches, etc.)

3) I don’t want to add needlessly to the crew meals the couple needs to order.

{Since reasons 1 and 2 are all about trust, I decided to use this photo — symbolic of the trust couples have given me through the years. The bride and moh here are sisters and I emceed for both of them a few years back.}

This wedding was a lot of fun! ❤️

But we had our worries days before with the forecast being rainy & possibly affecting our garden ceremony and Indian ceremony at the lanai, plus the threat of traffic due to the fiesta of the barangay of Antonio's.

Half of the worries went away when we saw the change in weather forecast plus of course, we had seasoned suppliers working behind the scenes so we knew everyone would deliver when push comes to shove.

Congrats and best wishes, Arnie and Camille! Thank you for trusting me and my team to be your coordinators ❤️❤️❤️

Kudos to all the suppliers: Antonio’s for ceremony to reception, Anya Resort Tagaytay for preps, Ish Sison Makeup Artistry, Cicero Events and Flowers, Ralph Lee Photography, Jason Magbanua, Eri Neeman, Madz and Dzhei- Events Singers and Hosts, Cakestudio, SureShot Photography, Artuz101 Professional Lights and Sound Rental Inc., forrent.ph, and sir CJ Wasu (Indian Drummer)

01/05/2023

When I emcee, there are 3 things I always keep in mind:

1) the bride & groom are the stars of the show, not the emcee

2) the program should match the couple & their guests -- even the language used should be ok with the guests

3) the program should not be dragging because people have places to go plus they are humans, they get tired as well

Thanks for sending this photo, JP and Faith! Congrats and best wishes once again! ❤️

Thank you also for the trust you gave our joint package! 🙂 (with Le Grandiose Planning and Events)

Despite all the lockdowns, they finally had the chance to walk down the aisle this 2023. They wanted a program that was tight, heartfelt, and fun -- yup, that's exactly what they got with the speeches and the wedding feud game we played. Even the audience were participating. That's the beauty of intimate weddings: no inhibitions. :)

Who am I?

I started in the wedding industry in 2010.

But let’s back track a bit, I graduated Summa cm Laude with a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree major in English in Assumption College. After that, I was awarded as one of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines. Fresh out of college, I worked with the sixth and seventh graders of Woodrose School. I taught Reading on my first year of teaching and combined part time teaching with doing the hourly news breaks for RPN-9 on my second year. On my third year, I was given the task of Reading Subject Head of the Intermediate Department so I left the news room and focused on being an academician. The following year, they expanded my reach so my title became “English Subject Head”. That went on till I resigned after 6 years of serving Woodrose.

I started a tutorial company with some partners, and I did enjoy dealing with the kids on a more personal level. However, after getting married and experiencing problems with my own wedding, I decided to go for catharsis and became a wedding planner myself. I simply wanted to help other couples avoid what I went through with my own coordinator. On my first year as a wedding planner, perhaps, with around 5 events tucked under my belt, one of my couples insisted that I be their emcee as well. I agreed because she would not take no for an answer, and the rest, as they say is history.

After hundreds and hundreds of weddings, here I am, still at it... always with the same goal of helping couples achieve their dream weddings.
