Have you seen this? Ano ba ang guide for crew meals during events?

1) individually packed dapat para sakto sa bilang (pag buffet type may mauubusan, so you need to shell out for meal allowance)

2) meal that can be eaten on the go, with plastic utensils -- so out ang parts na puro buto (yung pang sigang na karne pero passed off as spare ribs or puro ribs at leeg ng chicken)

3) meal that is decent given that it's an event day -- siguro pag nasa bahay pwede ma enjoy ang tuyo o galunggong pero not sa event day

4) meals that are packed properly -- hindi yung squished ang takip kasi super lambot so naka mix na lahat (viands, rice, dessert)

5) sanitary - ayaw natin ng food poisoning

We have good suppliers of crew meals, let's patronize them kasi may respeto din sila sa kakain ng gawa nila.

Pwede rin mag bigay ng meal allowance.

(And if you're thinking totoo ba yan... Who gives chicken neck or all bones or all onions na sisig or galunggong and tuyo on a wedding day? Sadly, totoo lahat yan. Even sadder, lunch time ang iba so pati bride and groom ganyan ang food. Si relative na naglagay ng chicken necks, i guess di niya naisip pwedeng sa bride mapunta. Si crew meal provider na nakuha dahil may discount, di siguro naisip na the groom would react adversely sa sisig na puro onions.)

Real Scenario 1: Hindi naging maayos ang ilang facets ng wedding kasi kahit nagbigay ng suggestions ang coordinator regarding possible suppliers, nag decide ang couple not to consider the suggestions. Ok yan if yung nakuha mag perform according to expectations. Pero pag hindi maayos even if the coordinator tried to help na, hindi na yan fault ng coordinator.

Real scenario 2: Nagsabi ang coordinator regarding the need for preps and crew meals and nagbigay ng maayos na suggestions pero...

a) nag decide ang couple sa iba kumuha or magpaluto sa kakilala tapos late or di palatable ang food
‍‍
b) nag decide ang couple na ok to order for suppliers kasi nasa contract pero ang ento & family sa preps, kanya kanyang kain na lang

Hindi na yan fault ng coordinator.

Real scenario 3: Nag suggest na ang coordinator na kailangan ng actual food for cocktail time, pero ang couple nag decide na nuts and chips lang ang to be served kahit mahaba ang post nup shoot. Then, kahit pinuputol na ng coord yung pictorial, ayaw pumayag ng couple. So may guests na nagalit dahil gutom na and ang tagal ng pictorial. Fault pa ba ng coordinator? Hindi na.

So couples, if you hired efficient coordinators, wag niyong sayangin yung level of experience nila by giving the 👎 sa mga suggestions nila without carefully considering them first. If nag research kayo before hiring your coordinator, then trust the coordianator to have your best interests in mind. Walang maayos na coordinator na magsusuggest ng mga bagay na makakasira sa wedding experience ng guests at ng couple.

Dear Event Suppliers,

Please be considerate enough to pay attention to event coordinators. They are tasked to do logistics for the client which includes "close coordination" to all their partners.

Sometimes, there are clients who create group message with all suppliers. At times it's a different gc with a particular supplier + coordinator. Meron din times na it's just the coords and the suppliers para hindi na masyadong ma-bother si client.

I have been to all those types of GC. I have witnessed the effort of the planners in doing their job in ensuring a smooth program flow. Unfortunately, matumal sumagot ang ibang co-suppliers ko. Sad though. Yung tipong nagtanong si Madam Coordinator tapos deadma yung iba. Then bigla na lang magchachat sina suppliers rekta sa kliyente. Yung they didn't even open the files sent (timeline, program, reminders, etc) tapos biglang sa client magtatanong. 🤦‍♀️

Sana naman maging professional enough po tayo to at least acknowledge them and respect their effort. At the end of the day, sa kanila nakasalalay ang full coordination including meals and full payment for us. If you can't show value to these coordinators, it reflects your character and behavior na pumipili lang kayo ng kakausapin nyo. Hindi man sila ang magbabayad ng PF natin literally, pero sila ang representatives ng clients. Kung busy kayo sa ibang raket, busy din sila sa ibang events. But let us not delete sa equation na meron kayong common client na kailangan nyo i-serve TOGETHER.
