House of Brides was created to provide specialized service in event planning and management. It all started with the free service of organizing, hosting events for the family, friends and at school by the owner/manager Ms. Mona Richelle Puno-Bumanlag. Being a people oriented person, dealing with various personalities has never been a problem to Mona. A graduate of B.S. Tourism at the U
niversity of Santo Tomas and a college instructor by profession, Mona was able to develop her being outspoken and a natural entertainer. Her stint as a part time event host to BarCIE Hotel together with a bit of entrepreneur side of her, stirred up the idea of event solutions. It was named Sheer Elegance, owned and managed by Mona together with seven (7) partners, mostly her former students. Sheer Elegance was housed to Dr. Unite’s compound along Paseo del Congreso, Malolos City and later brought to another home due to a little set back. The opportunity abroad was so intense that majority of the partners had to leave including Mona who went to Paris, France. However her experienced abroad has just been another way of intensifying her love for the country. By 2005 she went back home to continue what was started. With the continuous study here and abroad, Mona was able to enhance her capabilities and knowledge. The same knowledge she shares with her employees and partners. Her expertise in planning and managing events and her commitment and dedication to her job have been the edge of her business ever since. It was until 2007 when the new home, Unit 1 CT center Bldg., along Mc Arthur Highway at San Pablo, Malolos city opened and a new name was given thus the House of Brides. At present H.O.B. is based at the prime spot along Mac Arthur Highway, Longos, Malolos City as their office and showroom. House of Brides caters not only weddings but also other special occasions and events. Over the years, they were able to handle debut and birthday parties, corporate events, mini concerts, and as well as bridal exhibits. In 2009, H.O.B. held its first ever wedding fair “Here Comes The Bride”. A year after, they were offered to host the Bulacan leg of Kasal.Com’s Kasalang Filipino. H.O.B. hosted Kasalang Filipino: Kasalang Bulakenyo for two consecutive years, in 2010 and 2011. After fifteen years in the industry, the owner Mrs. Bumanlag started the dream of establishing an association for events suppliers in Bulacan. In cooperation with Mr. Ferdie Talbenito, the Bulacan Events’ Suppliers Association was established last MArh of 2015 and since then working for the growth and development of the events industry in the province. For two consecutive years BESA in the leadership of Mrs. Mona Bumanlag as their founding president, open up new door of opportunities to their members. The Kasalan at Okasyon: Bridal Fair and Exhibit is showcasing different suppliers all over Bulacan and became highlights of the annual Singkaban Festival. This annual gathering of suppliers benefits not only vendors but also the customers as they were given choices and better options. The vision of marking the province as wedding capital in the Philippines through its wide selection of historical churches shall be the core of passion of Mrs. Mona Bumanlag in pursuing higher dreams for BESA. We don’t advertise other than the existing networking sites and by producing bridal exhibits for the region. Through the years we have built our business solely on client referrals and strengthened relationships with other wedding vendors.
