Sa likod ng bawat kasal ay mga lingkod na handang maggabay at magbasbas sa pag-iisang dibdib. Ngayong araw, nagtipon ang ilang mga Solemnizing Officers mula sa iba’t ibang ministeryo—iba man ang pinagmulan, iisa ang layunin: ipagpatuloy ang paglilingkod sa mga magkasintahan na nais gawing wagas at banal ang kanilang pag-ibig.

Meeting with these Wonderful Couples before their Especial Day.

Importante sa isang officiant at sa Couple na ikakasal ang magmeet bago ang Wedding. Sa pagkikitang ito napag uusapan ang takbuhan ng ceremony by so doing hindi magiging “at lost” ang couple during their Big Day. Dito din naadress ang lahat ng mga inquiries, at napag-uusapan ang ilang mga legal requirements and attachments na kakailanganin after wedding. Magandang pagkakataon din ang “meet up” na ito upang magkakilanlan si Pastor at si Couple, malaking bagay ito para mapersonalize ng officiant ang approach sa ceremony. And of course I do meet ups to have an avenue to casually counsel the couples sa panibago at mataas na level ng relasyon na tatahakin nila.

As much as possible I encourage all the couple na nagpaplano na magpakasal na imeet ang magkakasal sa kanila.

All marriage is imperfect. All of us , husband and wives are not perfect. A perfect marriage is where spouse puts 100% endeavor, 100% devotion, 100% loyalty and at all time never commit a mistakes.

But we know for a fact that it only happens in our dreams. Marriage is made up of two different people with different upbringing and backgrounds, two imperfect people who has a tendency to offend each other day after day. Two different and imperfect people that live under God’s grace daily.

Consequently, we need to open our minds and accept the reality that our spouse can never be faultless and flawless. Just like us, we both commit mistakes and offenses.

1 Peter 4:8 is a powerful reminder. We have to love our spouses deeply. The day we are married to them we are married not just on the better side of them but as well as with their flaws and blemishes. The bible reminds us that love makes up for our many fault.
