Look | Local officials hand over loose fi****ms to military in Maguindanao del Sur

The local government of Datu Paglas, Maguindanao Del Sur, headed by Municipal Mayor Abubakar Paglas, turned over loose fi****ms and ammunition to the military on June 10, 2024.
Eighteen various types of high-powered fi****ms and assorted ammunition originating from the said municipality were surrendered to the 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion (1MechBn) in a ceremony held at the New Training Center, Municipal Compound, Poblacion, Datu Paglas, Maguindanao Del Sur, Monday afternoon.

The surrendered items include one 7.62mm M14 rifle; two Cal .50 Barret Sniper rifles with three round cartridge Cal .50 ball; seven Cal .30 M1 Garand rifles, two Cal .30 M1 Garand (converted to M14) rifles; two 7.92mm Ma**er rifles; one 7.62mm FN-FAL rifle, one Cal .45 Thompson Submachine gun with magazine and two rounds cartridge Cal. 45 ball; one 40mm M79 Gr***de launcher with two round cartridge 40mm high explosives; and one Cal .30 M1 Carbine with two rounds cartridge Cal. 30 ball.

Said fi****ms and ammunition were formally received by Brig. Gen. Andres Santos, Commander of the 1st Mechanized Infantry "Maaasahan" Brigade (1MechBde) and witnessed by Mr. Boy Tocao of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), other military officers, and the local officials of the different barangays of Datu Paglas.

Lt. Gen. William Gonzales, Commander of Western Mindanao Command, expressed his appreciation to the local government of Datu Paglas led by Mayor Abubakar Paglas for their unwavering support of the military’s campaign against the proliferation of loose fi****ms.

“Convergence is truly the key to the eradication of the tools of violence and the reduction of crimes in the communities. Let us continue to work together to sustain peace and ensure the safety of the citizens,” Lt. Gen. Gonzales said.

The surrendered fi****ms and assorted ammunition are temporarily placed under the custody of 1MechBn for documentation before turning them over to the nearest PNP Regional Office for proper disposition.

Nang makita ni Carpio na nilagyan na lamang ng scotch tape ang sapatos ng estudyante para lamang magamit sa naturang okasyon, agad niya itong hinubad at ipinagamit sa estudyante.
"Kinukuwento ko ito hindi upang mag-malaki, bagkus upang sila nitong g**o sa kwento ng Mindanao Voices ay pamarisan --- lalo na noong mas may mga kakayahan sa buhay," pahayag ni Carpio.

𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐓 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃 | A Junior High School student was the victim of a recent shooting incident in the Municipality of Tipo-Tipo, Basilan.

The victim was identified as Fadzrie Ismail, a resident of Barangay Kuhun in the town of Albarka.

Deputy Provincial Police Director of Basilan Col. John H. Cundo said the victim was set to graduate today.

Investigation disclosed that the victim was at the parking lot outside the town's Mini Gym when the gunman suddenly appeared on board a motorcycle and shot him without any provocation. He died on the spot.

Police in Tipo-Tipo were still investigating the incident to determine the motive and identity of the suspect.

Tipo-Tipo Mayor Arcam Patarasa Istarul has ordered the authorities to expedite the investigation and bring the suspect to justice

NUEVO CONSTRUJIDO EDIFICIO DEL CAMP NAVARRO GENERAL HOSPITAL YA INAGURA AYER AGA!

WESMINCOM – Depues el 4 año de construccion finalmente ya inagura ya ayer May 22 dia de miercoles con el nuevo edificio del Camp Navarro General Hospital adentro del Western Mindanao Command o WESMINCOM na barangay Calarian en este ciudad.
