Afghanistan is the graveyard of many empires. Starting from Alexander to the British, to the Soviets & to the US, all were failed to capture this small & strategic country. But there was one man who captured this country & under his reign, Islam was spread all over Afghanistan. Do you know the name of that person? He was Hazrat Ali (R.A), the father of Hazrat Imam Hassan (R.A) & Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A). His title was “Haider-e-Karrar.”

After Hazrat Ali (R.A), Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavi was the second person, under whom Islam was rapidly spread in Afghanistan. The might of Muslim armies was beautifully explained by Allama Muhammad Iqbal in these lines:

ٹَل نہ سکتے تھے اگر جنگ میں اَڑ جاتے تھے
پاؤں شیروں کے بھی میدان سے اُکھڑ جاتے تھے
تُجھ سے سرکش ہوا کوئی تو بگڑ جاتے تھے
تیغ کیا چیز ہے ہم توپ سے لڑجاتے تھے
