Background:
Since 1947, Pakistan has been suffering a lot by corruption, political instability, terrorism, and much more. All these years what we have witnessed is the blame game everywhere... politicians blaming army, army blaming politicians, people blaming the govt., the cricket team blaming the luck.. at end of the day we all our blaming this country which our ancestors had achieved with count
less sacrifices and efforts. "Khuda uss qaum ki halat nahi badalta jab tak wo apni halat khud nahi badalte." It’s about time that we should stop playing the blame game and try to change ourselves 1st. How many of us stop at a red light or don't bribe a cop or try to get free in a concert or are not trying to cut corners in taxing, or stealing water or electricity, even flood relief goods are stolen and sold in the market! This 14th August, 2011 lets make a vow to bring the change we need and change the way we think about Pakistan. The Million Dollar Question: Who can be the change agents? Is it the few politicians or the 17 crore people? Majority of the Pakistani people are the young people. Sadly, our youth is frustrated because there are no jobs, the economy is going down, there is no proper career counselling, majority of them quit education at an early age. But there are people among these who are optimistic, talented, motivated and committed to make Pakistan a better country for the future generations in their own unique ways. POSITIVE PAKISTAN will give a platform to the youth to come forward and show the world what they can do for Pakistan to Make it a better place. to act as a responsible citizen and make others act too. This event shall promote the concept of self responsibility and ownership of country. Big Idea:
When there is no hope, no optimism, no security, no justice, no education, no progress, no culture – there is no Pakistan. The Image of Pakistan has already been degraded by International Media. There have been proper anti-campaigning done against Pakistan on social media. This event will bring the answer to all the Anti-Pakistani arguments and campaigning
Objectives:
Our aim and objective to achieve through this event include:
• To highlight the change we need to bring in Pakistan
• To promote values of hope, patriotism and optimism among IOBM Students
• To showcase their talent, and skills they can utilize for Pakistan
• To bring forward the inspirational opinion leaders to change the way we think about Pakistan
• To develop viral videos for Pakistan’s Positive imagery
• To promote Pakistani culture
