میاں بیوی کے رشتے میں دو طرفہ احساس اور دی گئی قربانیاں سب سے اہم ہوتی ہیں۔ ہماری والدہ نے زندگی کے کئی سال ہمارے دادا ابو کی خدمت میں گزارے اور میں نے امی کے چہرے پر کبھی بیزاری اور لہجے میں کڑواہٹ نہیں دیکھی تھی۔ خیر سے دادا ابو بہت سال پہلے وفات پا گئے تھے۔۔

ان دنوں میرے "نانا ابو" بیمار ہیں اور ہسپتال میں داخل ہیں۔ والد صاحب روزانہ کئی بار ہسپتال کا چکر لگاتے ہیں۔ کل رات میں بیٹھا دیکھ رہا تھا میرے ابو " نانا جی" کے کبھی ہاتھ دبا رہے تھے کبھی بازوؤں پر ہلکا سا مساج کر رہے تھے۔ نانا ابو بار بار اشارہ کریں تو والد صاحب بنا کسی بیزاری مسکراتے ہوئے ان کے قریب ہو جاتے اور ہر ممکن کوشش کرتے ان کی بات کو سمجھ جائیں۔۔۔

میں نے یہ منظر دیکھا تو یاد آ گیا جب ابو کہتے تھے
" تمہاری امی نے میرے والد صاحب کی خدمت جیسے کی وہ میں کبھی نہیں بھول سکتا۔ اس کا فرض بھی نہیں تھا اس کے باوجود ۔۔۔ بس تمہاری امی کی ان قربانیوں کو میں ہمیشہ یاد رکھوں گا"۔۔ مجھے محسوس ہوا کہ وہ دی گئی قربانیاں انہیں یاد ہیں۔ ہر اچھا انسان یہ لمحے یاد رکھتا ہے اور وقت آنے پر کچھ اپنی طرف سے بھی کوشش کرتا ہے۔

دادا ابو کے آخری وقت میں بولا گیا یہ جملہ بھی مجھے یاد ہے جو انہوں نے میری والدہ سے کہا تھا
"بیٹا! تم نے جو میری خدمت کی ہے حالانکہ تم پر فرض بھی نہیں تھا۔ میں تمہاری ماں کو بھی دعائیں دیتا ہوں اور تمہاری اس خدمت کا اجر تمہیں اللہ تعالیٰ ہی دے سکتا ہے یہ میرے بس کی بات نہیں ہے" ۔۔۔۔

میں بس اتنا کہنا چاہتا ہوں کہ اس " فرض" والے معاملے سے باہر نکل آئیں جہاں آپ کو بزرگوں کی خدمت ان کا احترام بوجھ لگنے لگے۔ ہم اپنی زندگی میں صرف فرض کی ادائیگی نہیں کرتے بلکہ سنت اور نوافل کا اہتمام بھی کرتے ہیں۔ اس معاملے میں بھی آپ یاد رکھیں کہ یوں ملنے والی دعائیں آپ کی زندگی میں کئی برکتیں لے کر آتی ہے۔ دعائیں بھی نہ ملیں تو خلوصِ نیت سے کی گئی خدمت آپ کے حق میں قبول کر لی جاتی ہیں اور اس کے بدلے دنیا و آخرت میں آپ کے لیے بہترین اجر موجود ہے۔ یہ خدمت آپ کی نسلیں تک سنوار سکتی ہے جب کہ " ہم پر فرض نہیں ہے" کہہ کر آزاد ہو جانے سے ، انہیں نظر انداز کر دینے سے ، بوجھ سمجھنے سے ، ان کی بے حرمتی کرنے سے آپ کو فائدہ تو کوئی نہیں ہوگا لیکن بہت سے نقصان ضرور ہوتے چلے جائیں گے جس کا اثر آپ کی آنے والی نسلوں پر بھی ہوگا۔۔۔

مختصر سی زندگی ہے لیکن نفرتوں اور محبتوں کا سلسلہ "مختصر" نہیں ہو سکتا۔ اس کے اثرات دنیا کے ساتھ ساتھ آخرت پر بھی پڑیں گے۔
