We start our workweek on Wedsnesdays and this week are gearing up to create tropical designs for 2 weddings taking place later this week. So far, we’ve sourced flowers from a wholesaler in SJU, a wholesaler in Aguadilla, a flower farm in Adjuntas. Tomorrow we will hand select premium heliconias & gingers to add to the mix from a fourth wholesaler we buy from., a sustainable flower farm in San Sebastian. It has taken us years to fine tune this very important part of sourcing the flowers we use to create the bridal bouquets, ceremony and reception decor that we’ve designed for the Destination Wedding couples we serve. The companies we have chosen to work with consistently provide both quality service and freshly cut premium blooms. As a Floral Design company, nothing lights us up more than working with fresh quality flowers 😊to create the colorful tropical bridal bouquets, ceremony and reception designs that we’ve designed for your wedding. We love designing and creating wedding flowers and especially get excited when asked to create something a little different than we ordinarily do! So when Brittany contacted us last year to create garden style flower boxes for her and Scott's 10 year vow renewal celebration we were very excited 🙌. Their ceremony took place last month next door Vacation Rental Villa right here in Isabela 🌴. These pics from their week here highlights some of the fun had including their visit to falls in San Sebastián, Catamaran sailing in Rincon and pics of their intimate vow renewal ceremony at the fabulous vacation villa they rented right on the BEACH. Check out the flower boxes designed and created for them; these were first used to line the ceremony aisle and then repurposed for the dinner tables. On our work table today are these 20” wood boxes which we are preparing for a wedding here in Isabela on Sunday 😊. The wood boxes were first painted white and then wiped with a sponge ro give them this whitewash look. Then a plastic white bag is placed inside the box and on top of that a clear plastic liner. This makes the boxes water resistant but they are still not quite ready 🧐 Next, chicken wire is cut and formed into a roll which is then placed into the box for a snug fit and taped in. The boxes are then filled with water (finally) and now flower stems and foliage is inserted. 😳 It’s a lot of prep work! We do it with a full ❤️ knowing that the delicate blooms placed inside these boxes will remain fresh regardless of the heat!

A private wedding on the beach followed by a champagne toast under the flamboyan tree in our covered backyard terrace area. A la carte bouquets were picked up today for a wedding at a nearby Resort 🌴 here are pics of the bridal, maid of honor & bridesmaids bouquets. Classic white bouquets made with rose, hydrangeas, Peruvian Lillie’s, mini callas, wax flower & a touch of fragrant eucaliptus. These flower boxes were designed to serve two purposes: 1.) aisle decor and after ceremony 2.) table decor. Because of the hot summer weather we are experiencing, the delicate nature of the flowers used, and the fact that they need to stay gorgeous and hydrated all afternoon / evening, the boxes are lined with plastic and filled 1/2 with water. Delicate blooms like the ones used here require a constant water source otherwise they will wilt before dinner is served. Flower box designs include peach roses, fuschia spray roses, pink and white mathiola stock, wax flower, Peruvian lillys,, blue delphinium, yellow chrysanthemum, micro-daisies, montecasino, assorted zinnias and foliages.
