If you're wondering how a week looks like for a wedding planner 🫶 Keep reading....

Monday:

The week starts with a meeting with a new couple who have just hired me to plan their wedding. We discuss their vision for the wedding, their budget, and any specific ideas or requests they have. After the meeting, I research and brainstorm potential venues, themes, and vendors that would fit their needs.

Tuesday:

Today is dedicated to reaching out to vendors. I email and call multiple photographers, caterers, florists, and decorators to check on their availability and get quotes. In the evening, I have a catch-up meeting with another couple whose wedding is in two months. We review the timeline and they approve the final seating chart.

Wednesday:

I visit several wedding venues with a couple whose wedding is next year. We discuss the pros and cons of each venue and they make their selection. After this, I meet with a florist to discuss the flower arrangements for a wedding happening next month.

Thursday:

I spend the morning drafting contracts for the vendors and reviewing contracts provided by the venue. Then, I have a meeting with a couple to do a food tasting for their wedding menu. In the afternoon, I create a day-of timeline for a wedding happening next weekend.

Friday:

I have a final meeting with a couple whose wedding is tomorrow. We go over the day's schedule, answer any last-minute questions, and resolve any remaining details. After the meeting, I check in with all the vendors to confirm their arrival times for tomorrow.

Saturday:

It's the wedding day! I arrive early to oversee the set-up and ensure everything is in its place. I coordinate with the vendors, solve any minor issues that arise, and make sure that the couple is stress-free. After the wedding, I oversee the clean-up and make sure everything went as planned.

Sunday:

Sunday is usually a day off, but sometimes it's used for follow-ups or additional meetings if necessary. If there's no work, I use this day to relax and recharge for the coming week.

Throughout the week, I'm in constant communication with multiple couples at different stages of their wedding planning process. It's a balance of multitasking, managing stress, and ensuring that every couple has the wedding of their dreams.

Components of Wedding Invitations:

1. Invitation Card: This is the main card which includes details about the couple getting married, as well as the date, time, and location of the wedding.

2. RSVP Card: This card allows the guests to respond to the invitation, indicating whether they will be able to attend the wedding or not. It may also include meal preference for the wedding reception.

3. Detail Card: This card contains additional information such as directions to the venue, accommodation details, and any other additional activities or requirements.

4. Envelope: Traditionally, wedding invitations are mailed in two envelopes. The outer envelope is a protection for the contents and has a formal address. The inner envelope holds the invitation suite and is addressed more casually.

5. Save the Date: This is typically sent out months before the wedding to let guests know the date of the wedding in advance. It is especially useful for destination weddings or for weddings taking place near a holiday.

Etiquette:
