The ocean is a non-negotiable for me. I was raised close to the east shore of Puerto Rico & my grandmother lived steps from Luquillo beach.

Then I married the love of my life who taught me even more about the ocean & everything related.

If you're worried about hurt feelings, don't be!
Remember that your remote third and fourth twice- removed cousins probably feel as indifferent towards you as you do towards them.

The same goes for distant friends. And just because someone invited you to their wedding doesn't mean you're obligated to invite them to yours. 😉

Theres no right or wrong answer to this question but, you'll need to think about how the structure of your bouquet will look like against the fit of your bridal gown.

If you have chosen ball gown, the bouquet needs to be as impactful in size and colour. 🤗

If you have a slim fit mermaid dress think about a cascade or a smaller posy shaped bouquet. 💐

There are plenty of wedding rules you cam break. The one you should never mess with? Don't keep your guests hungry. Even if you're serving a non- traditional catering. Remember to have light bites handy between ceremony and dinner 🍽️ 🙌🤍.

If you're planning on traveling after you get married, consider opting for an inexpensive ring 💍that you can take with you.

You won't want to be responsible for expensive jewelry that you're not used to wearing while you're out and about in unfamiliar territory. (Plus, metal rings can get damaged in pools and oceans )

You can buy a fake diamond ring 😉online for under $25 or forgo the sparkles altogether and get a silicone wedding band for the same price.🥳🥳

You can never ensure everyone will be able to make it, no matter how hard you try. 😥

Few things to remember:

🥂Scheduling your wedding on a holiday is a blessing and a curse.
🥂Holidays mean time off, which makes it easier for guests to say yes, but they may also have alternate plans.
🥂If you are planning a wedding for a holiday weekend, let your guests know as early as possible and remember that airline ticket 🎫 prices may be higher. 💸📈

Hear this! 🤫
If you want to have a more intimate celebration, but don't want to offend your loved ones with a lack of invite, consider a destination wedding.

The cost of travel ( most likely ) inhibit guests from attending, allowing you to have the cake and eat it too 😉.

But know your crowd, if your uncle Sam visit the Bahamas every year, he's probably not going to be scared by your destination wedding.

The iconic first kiss photo 😘 is an important part of your must have photo list, don't peck your partner and pull away quickly during the ceremony. ( Camera's 📸 aren't always that fast! )

Make sure to linger for a few seconds to give your photographer ample time to capture the romance. 🤍
