O Festival Internacional de Folclore, Culturas e Artes (FIFCA) realiza-se desde 2008 e surgiu de um ideia que o casal Irene Lucas Sequeira e Ricardo Casebre teve após visitar um festival de folclore estrangeiro.

General Conditions

CULTURE ART FOLK SUMMER FESTIVAL - Portugal, is not an - competitive festival. On the festival can participate children and youth folklore dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups and soloists, as well as groups and performers from other art styles. Participants should be from the age of 5 to 105.

The Festival will be organized in the main squares of ALMEIRIM and surrounded villages in another Municipality.

The shows are organized in the, evening hours with a short parade at the start, The performance are In local auditorium or Cine theater, and another places indicated by the festival organization. Groups should perform approximately 5-10 or 15 min either with live music or CD.

Note: If you don't have live music, All groups need to send their music 10 days before festival!

During daytime it is possible to organize workshops at the school or in places for seniors people.

As some of the performances are in the evening hours, the festival team can organize several excursions:

1. Cruising boat in Tagus River for all interested participants – The ship sails through the Tagus River where you can watch birds, horses in the natural life, and all natural beauty of our village near the river (price – 15 € per person).

2. In free day it is possible to organize visit to; Option 1 - Lisbon (9:00 – 20:00h, (15€ per person) includes the bus Option 2 - Fátima Santuário de Fátima/Nazaré Beach - 15€ per person) includes the bus

Option 3 Ride Horses or other radical sports and adventure we have to show you.

In the end of the Festival, after the show, the Groups have gift exchange and receiving certificates.

Accommodation Accommodation is organized in apartments at city center. The Groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 beds and 4 beds on a half board basis. Only 2 double rooms are available per group which can be used for the Leaders and drivers.

Note: The Groups must send the rooming list one month before the festival. Groups that do not send, the rooming list will be made by festival and can’t be any changes upon arrival.

Participation fee is 160€ per person and cover accommodation, 5 days (breakfast, lunch), and expenses of the festival organization.

On 25 participants, every 26th is free of charge (usually driver or Leader of group)

Participation expenses do not cover dinner/or lunch (in some partnership - you have, dinner or lunch for 7 €).

Participation fee can be paid via bank transfer or in cash on the day of arrival. Advance payment of 20 euro per person should be made after receiving the official invitation.

If the group shows interest in extending the stay the organizers should be informed during the application process (the price for extra night on half board basis is 25 euro per person).

Transport and Travel Conditions The participant group should cover travel expenses for the trip between their country and local Festival.

In the case the group arrives by plane, we can organize the transport – Aeroporto de Lisboa to the Festival place, and return airport (price is 800 €)

The organizer reserves the right for any changes in the program, and the participants will be informed on time. By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions.

Number of participants is limited.
