Blumen is a floral design studio based in Portugal, creating elegant floral arrangements and installations for events.

We use eco-friendly mechanics in all our designs as opposed to the environmentally harmful floral foam.

It’s that soft dreamy in-between season in Portugal when you spot roses rambling up walls and bougainvillea quietly bursting into colour on the side of almost every road.

This serves as a reminder of the urgent need to protect our planet and that our small and meaningful actions and choices can make an impact.

One we often talk about is floral foam. It’s still widely used in floristry, despite breaking down into harmful microplastics that pollute our oceans and threaten wildlife. But also it’s important to use seasonal flowers and from local suppliers and growers whenever possible.

We believe beauty can be more environmentally friendly.

Join us for a lovely afternoon with at the store, where you’ll learn about sustainable choices in floral design and flower selection. You’ll also create a seasonal centrepiece to take home with you.

🗓️ Saturday, 10th May ⏰ 16:00 - 18:30 📍  📨 Send us a message to secure your spot – spaces are limited. ✏️ What you’ll learn and take away from the workshop: eco-friendly floral arrangement techniques and a beautifully arranged pedestal bowl to take home. 🍷 There will be wine, other beverages, and a selection of light snacks.

A few snaps from yesterday’s workshop at the best pizza spot in town ! Everyone created their own spring flower arrangement using chicken wire and beautiful seasonal flowers. Absolutely loved hosting this one —honestly love my job, which also allows us to connect over flowers, creativity and positivity! So many gifted hands got stuck in and took to it like pros, and all captured by the lovely and talented .favourite.human (thank YOU). 🤍
