We will be at the Artisan market in Serta next Sunday supporting our favourite charity.

There will be snacks, soups and starters. A limited range of curries and curry sauces and sides and of course the very popular’Mr Daves red sauce’.

Very Urgent. My fiance, Neil André Stuart Eckersley is still missing! Vila Nova, Miranda do Corvo area, Coimbra! if anyone sees him, please contact myself or the GNR in Miranda do Corvo.

Aged 61, 1,83m, 6ft tall, large build, but not fat, very strong. He was wearing a grey fleece jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and black wool hat, Green hazel eyes. Shaved head, wearing several bracelets , a gold wedding ring on his right hand.

He has tattoos on his left chest and left lower arm which hide scars from self harming in his childhood. I mention the scars as they are clearly visible under the tattoos, especially the one on his arm!

He has a prominent mole on his right shoulder blade. He's got broad shoulders but thin athletic legs.

He has mental health issues. He also has drinking problems.

He may be lost and disoriented.

He takes medication for his mental health problems and has his medication with him. He does drinks a lot of alcohol.

He suffers from very bad depression and takes tablets for depression and anxiety and also takes an antipsychotic medication for psychosis and mental health problems.

He was in the SOBRAL Cid psychiatric hospital in Coimbra last November in the Dual pathology unit and awaiting an appointment with the hospital psychiatric Hospital for regular therapy. He has regular sessions with private psychiatric clinics and psychologists.

He does not have a car in Portugal, but he can drive. He may have stolen a car or got a lift from someone. He could have caught a bus to Coimbra and then a train to Lisbon or Porto or anywhere.

He particularly loves Fig da Foz beach.

He has broken into old houses before to seek shelter and also stayed at hotels. Local hotels in Miranda checked by the Police, but he isn't there.

The Police with dogs searched the forest tracks, but found nothing.

He has run away several times before when he gets overwhelmed with stress and can't cope! He usually returns home after a few days. I have got him every help imaginable and he also has good Portuguese friends and neighbours and good doctors.

He likes to visit the cafés in Miranda do Corvo, especially the Avenida café opposite the Camara municipal in Miranda and the other two cafés next door. He also likes the café near the market hall and also the café Santa Catarina near Auchan.

He also likes the cafés and castle in Penela.

He's very physically fit and also loves to walk many Kms every day through the forest and along the river. He loves walking.

He also likes to visit the weekly markets and the car boot sale every month in Miranda do Corvo.. He also finds peace in churches!

He is English and doesn't speak much Portuguese.

Just an update on Bear.

He is loving life on the Algarve and enjoying his first Christmas off the chain.
As an outdoor only dog who we never thought would get used to indoors he now seems to be making himself right at home.
He enjoys having other dogs to play with but most of all he is enjoying his humans …. He gets and gives so much love he’s turning into a lap dog 🤣

Thanks so much to his current carers. A truly lucky boy.

So Bear needs a ‘Forever Home’ 🏡

He has done so well since he has been with his foster carer and has put on weight.

I think we need to take his past life into account. It’s baby steps he’s happy outside because that’s all he knows. He will need to decompress as he has had such a massive life change. He’s not socialised he doesn’t know what playing and running around is. He will find his feet and learn all the new things over time. But his new owners will need to be patient and realise we have saved him from an awful situation and he’s just learning how to be in a domesticated situation.

His foster carer has provided him with everything he needs at the moment shelter, food, and love - lots of love 🥰 And we are sure he will blossom and learn given time.

We have collectively decided that he needs to move on to someone who is experienced with the type of care he needs and as we don’t want him to be moved around from pillar to post we think he should go to his forever him now.

He has funds to pay for his needs so if you know anyone who could take care of this special boy please get in touch.

You have all been amazing sharing our posts about Bear. Please would you share this.

We are going to do a raffle just to raise a little more for his care fund as he will need a few more visits to the vets.

So Deano or Bear as he’s affectionately known is off his chain and on his way to live with his foster carer.
We took of his chain and put on his harness and he knew it was time to go. Instead of having to lift him into the car he jumped in and settled down for the trip.
Daves been telling him what a wonderful life he is going to have and we’ve all had a happy tear or two.

Can anyone help!!

This is Bear. He’s lived next door to us on a chain since we moved in 18 months ago.

Never going for a walk and spending all of his time on a set of concrete steps.

Finally pursued the owner to let us look after him.

My friend from the UK has raised funds for vets etc etc and after just a couple of days is already looking much better.

She will have him to live with her when she moves over here in November in the meantime we are looking for a foster home. Obviously expenses will be paid from the funds raised.

If anyone can help let me know. Or can I ask if you guys can share this for me.

Not long now and all eight will be on their way to visit Nanny and Grandad Dave!! The twins are six months old all ready! Where does the time go🤷🏻‍♀️

So just to pre warn you we will be cooking next weekend and the weekend after then will be taking the following two weekends off.

Therefore no takeaways 28th and 29th or the 4th and 5th June.

So get those orders in and fill your freezers!
