All my work begins with a blank sheet, and all my weddings are like a script of a love story
Like a book ... A BOOK OF LOVE! More than just tendencies, my Weddings are Love Stories, where all the couple story is incorporated and where the identity of each couple and my own fingerprint are always present. I love traveling, I love the sea, I love theater and I love Cirque du Soleil. All these influences are part of my creations, so I believe there should be no limits on how we think and create a wedding. Everything is possible and we should dream as much as we wish and make it happen on the day of the wedding! I love culture and to have been born in a country so rich in heritage and culture, the cultural aspects of each place and each couple are important for me to be present on the day of the wedding as part of each love story. I believe that we all fall in love in different ways, so I believe that all weddings must also be different, just as our passion is! I do not believe in impossible ideas. I believe that certain ideas need to be adapted and reorganized to materialize. In the end a "A Wedding is a Past, a Present and a Future" and just as a writer my job is to tell that Story of Love that happens through the time until the day of the wedding. Started my career in event industry at 19 years old and at 26 years old I started my career as a Wedding Planner constructed until nowadays from experience, specialized training and certification, passion and a natural talent for transforming the ordinary into extraordinary. During the past years i launched several innovative projects and wedding services in Portugal being a Wedding Activist and one of the professionals that most contributed for the recognition of Portugal in the International Wedding Industry

Designing this welcome installation for the iconic Núncio Garden at was one of those moments where creativity meets intention.
I envisioned a visual perspective that, as walked down the staircase, would transform into the illusion of a tunnel — a passage into another dimension, a luminous path leading toward a shared future.

Creating this piece for the incredible from was an experience filled with purpose and joy. And none of it would have been possible without the hands and hearts who brought this vision to life — from the structures to the florals that breathed soul into every curve and shadow and gave life to my design and vision.

This design is deeply meaningful to me because it reflects what I believe wedding design should be:
more than aesthetics, more than decoration — an experience of senses, perspectives, and intention.

Designing a wedding for one of the world’s most celebrated wedding planners, from from Dubai, was more than an honour — it was a creative journey where imagination, trust, and artistry aligned. This wedding design was envisioned and crafted under my rebranded brand Rui Mota Pinto Signature — a design language built on intention, emotion, and fearless creativity.

From the first raw sketch to the final breath of atmosphere in the space, every detail carried the essence of my signature approach: immersive, personal, disruptive in the most elegant of ways. Creating for someone who shapes global standards in our industry demanded vision, precision, and the courage to go beyond the expected — and that is exactly where my work lives.

Being invited to design for such a globally recognised name reinforced something profound: artistry has no borders, and neither does Rui Mota Pinto Signature. Over the past years I’ve designed full wedding experiences for clients and celebrated Wedding Planners in Portugal, in Dubai, across Europe, in the Americas… anywhere a story is waiting to be transformed into an unforgettable experience.

None of this, however, would be possible without my team — a group of dedicated and passionate professionals who are all part of my mentorship programme. This project became a defining moment for them, offering the opportunity to step into a real, high-level experience and bring their talent to an international stage as part of their growth path. Their commitment, resilience, and heart were essential for the success of this incredible project.

What an extraordinary experience it was to be part of the Congreso de Bodas y Eventos Sustentables LAT in the beautiful city of Querétaro, Mexico — a gathering filled with passion, innovation, and a shared commitment to shaping the future of our industry.

This year’s congress focused on sustainability — not just as a trend, but as a true movement towards awareness, responsibility, and the well-being of our planet and the people behind every celebration.

It was a powerful reminder that the weddings of tomorrow must not only be beautiful, but also conscious, balanced, and purposeful.
It was an inspiring and transformative experience — a moment of learning, reflection, and connection with so many professionals who are building this new era of weddings with integrity and care.

I had the honor of joining the stage as a speaker, alongside two remarkable minds — Adrian Pavia from Argentina and Kitzia Morales, President of IADWP. Together, we explored the future of our profession in this digital age, discussing how technology, creativity, and sustainability now walk hand in hand to redefine what it means to be a Wedding Planner.

From digital transformation to emotional authenticity, from innovation to environmental consciousness — this dialogue reminded us that evolution is not about changing who we are, but about expanding our purpose.

Hoje celebro uma data muito especial: os 10 anos de casamento de um casal que me marcou profundamente. &

Passada uma década, este continua a ser um daqueles casamentos que permanece vivo na memória, não apenas pelo cenário improvável – um kartódromo – mas, sobretudo, pelo que ele simbolizou.

Numa indústria que tantas vezes se fecha em ideias pré-fabricadas, replicações e formalidades que nem sabemos bem de onde vêm, este casamento foi (e é) um manifesto daquilo em que acredito: um casamento deve ser uma celebração de amor sem limites, sem fronteiras, sem barreiras. Deve ser a expressão genuína do casal e da sua história.

E foi exatamente isso que aconteceu há 10 anos: um dia autêntico, disruptivo e absolutamente fiel ao amor que unia os noivos.

Sonia & Reiss - Designing for Emotions

A wedding is never just about décor, images, flavors, or sounds. It goes far beyond what the eye can see or the ear can hear. What truly lingers are the emotions, the human connections, and the invisible threads of feeling that bind us all in those moments.

As a Designer, I don’t create only for the visual. I design for emotions — because vision is perception, but feeling is deeper, more magical, and eternal. It was a privilege to shape this wedding with my colleague and Wedding Planner Priti Raichura , together creating something unique and profoundly special for an extraordinary couple who have forever marked my heart.

None of this could have been told so powerfully without the incredible photography team led by Nuno Lopes — who captured not only what was seen, but also what was felt. And to my floral life partner Sandra Nogueira, my gratitude for bringing to life what I dream, draw, and envision, turning ideas into tangible magic.

These images speak a small.part of what those incredible days were — but more than anything, they reflect a devotion to what I love most: designing moments, experiences, visions, and concepts where emotions take center stage and rise far beyond the visual.
