Next weekend, June 24 & 25, 2023 we open our doors with floral demonstrations.
This is the list of Partners who are opening their doors to visitors for the first ever Floral Fundamentals OPEN DAYS event.
To make it easier for visitors, all of these Partners are situated close to the A4. Each of these Partners is very special and well worth a visit.
Aalsmeer Region
Marginpar, Sierteeltstraat 29, 1431 GM Aalsmeer – venue for ongoing demonstrations (various Ambassadors) / tours / testing lab – world famous for their breakthrough Clematis and very different range of flowers. Each day 3 different Ambassadors will be there to demonstrate throughout the day not at specific times.
Boerma Instituut, Legmeerdijk 227, 1432 KA Aalsmeer – ongoing demonstrations / venue for sales of books and sundries / displays / restaurant – world famous school which gives those of you wanting to shop, something to take home including a massive range of sundries. The restaurant is a well-known vegan venue.
Vreeken Bouvardia, Kruizemuntweg 31, 1435 DD Rijsenhout – Bouvardia – home to the groundbreaking grower family who have some new varieties for you to drool over and some practical tips too.
Kwekerij de Nachtvlinder, Paradijsweg 65, 2461 TL Ter Aar – Helleborus, Asters & plants for sale – famous garden & greenhouse open – one word: paradise! A real plants woman’s nursery and home even the roof is planted.
Continue along the A4 and then take the A12 to Nootdorp and Waddinxveen to discover another 2 not-to-be missed Growers.
Funny Santini, Langelandseweg 57, 2631 PS Nootdorp – Dekker Santini Chrysanthemum – grower of a surprising range of exciting Santini that have taken the floristry world by storm.
Porta Nova, Abr, Abraham Kroesweg 31, 2742 KV Waddinxveen - Rosa Red Naomi & White Naomi – world famous grower who tells the story behind the company and why they have been so forward thinking. An amazing grower of top-quality roses.
Return to the A4 and drive towards Westland where you drive towards Westland.
Westland Region
Ansu, Middenzwet 22a, 2291 HM Wateringen - Vanda orchids, Tillandsia and plants – prepare to immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Vanda including a full-scale Thai garden. Passionate growers of top-quality orchids and Tillandsia.
Lugt Lisianthus, Boomaweg 3, 2681 RG, Monster – venue for photo shoot / lectures, displays and Lisianthus tour – this is where you will see a full photo shoot in action. There are ongoing lectures, displays and a guided tour through the main greenhouse.
Qualily, Monsterseweg 14a, 2691 KA ’s-Gravenzande - different varieties of Lilium Saturday only – this highly innovative grower will reveal which varieties of Lilium should be used for certain projects and clients.
Beyond Chrysant, Dwarshaak 36, 3151 XB Hoek van Holland – Chrysanthemum Baltica white – an amazing family who go above and beyond in their dedication to producing top quality flowers.
Haas Callas & Helleborus, Laan van P**t 6, 2678 LG De Lier - Calla and Hellebores – discover how this wonderful grower found out that florists like the more unusual flowers to the point that he supplies extra-long stems of Calla while also producing exquisite Hellebores in his other greenhouse.
Walter Grootscholten, Woudtzicht 5, 2678 NG De Lier - Phalaenopsis orchids Saturday only – remember the amazing French catwalk and the wall of Phalaenopsis orchids? This is the grower!
