Genesis international film festival (GIFF) is a creative competition where everyone can show their talent and be judged by a highly professional jury.

GIFF was born out of the need to discover new talent among filmmakers - from filmmakers to CGIs.

Today is Elise’s 21st Birthday. Elise suffers from Tourette's syndrome; she has done since she was 13 years old. Elise’s tics don’t involve her shouting or swearing. Brought up in a loving slightly kooky family, with a natural acceptance of all, Elise thrives within her home.
But school life has not been kind, picked on for being different and often the popular girls that have given her the hardest time.
Her has been musician father has taught Elise to play and sing, and within this she finds the freedom of her voice as her tic’s disappear.
But Elise has a crush on Mr. Popular Aaron Clark, and he has the prom queen girlfriend to match. Can Elise ever believe he will see her for her? Or will he only see the tics.

Dr Samuel Langberg makes his first day as a psychiatrist in the same hospital his dying father used to work. Listening to the stories depicted by his first patient, the mysterious Georges, Sam discovers troubling coincidences linking his own personal life to the destiny of astonishing characters such as a Ukranian ironworker in the early 20th century, a group of Harvard students gathering in the 50's as well as a young Wall Street analyst from the beginning of the 2000's. Although his patient shows obvious signs of demencia, the coincidences are no less confusing. Sam has to get to the bottom of it, for that, he'll have to set foot into his father's steps.

A special screening of Genesis International Film Festival films took place in Moscow on August 25-27 🥳

The guests were novice filmmakers, students of film universities and cinema fans. The program of the event included: screenings of the best short films of the festival, lectures from film experts and question-and-answer sessions with specialists from the sphere.

After watching each film, guests could leave their assessment of the movie in the chat-bot of the festival, and in the interval between the screenings and lectures to get acquainted with each other with the help of "CinemaTinder" and leave their feedback about the event.

We continue to tell you about the final event of the third season of GIFF ☺️

The highlight of the screening was the festival's chatbot 🤖

What did the bot do?

▪️Voting
After viewing each film, viewers could evaluate the work. The winner in the "People Choice Award" category was determined at the end of the screening based on the statistics of viewers' votes in the festival's chatbot.

▪️Networking "Cinema Tinder"
By filling out a short questionnaire about themselves, guests could meet each other at "Cinema Tinder". Based on user responses, the chatbot offered the user 6 questionnaires of people with similar interests. No names, no photos, just answers to questions. If two users, after viewing each other’s profiles, wanted to continue communication, the bot sent each telegram-nickname of the questionnaire owner.

In the virtual festival's store, guests could choose and pay for the goods they liked right in the bot.

▪️Feedback
Guests could share their impressions about the event in the festival's chatbot.

The bot won the guests' hearts 🥰

🗓There is exactly a month left before the final of the second season of GIFF, the jury continues to review and evaluate participants' films. 🎬This year, the festival has already received 350 applications from filmmakers from 47 different countries. 🏆Despite the large number of quality and interesting projects, the short list of the festival will include only 20-30 works, from which the jury will select the winner of the Grand Prix category. The short list will be published on the festival website in early April.
