The delegation of IFACCA is here. The two-day workshop was officially opened early this morning. In his opening remarks, the Director of NACC, Mr Jimmy Savy, thanked all the members of IFACCA for offering Seychelles the bid of hosting its 13th meeting of Africa Chapter. He then offered all members with a token of appreciation before they began their introduction.

A need to be proud of who we are as a Creole nation and to appreciate our uniqueness in the way we speak and sound, were just some of the words uttered by Giorgina Dhillon, the editor of the second issue of the International Magazine Kreol, in her remarks at the official launching. Also present at the ceremony, was a Seychellois born with mix heritage, Mr Gafoor Yakub, whose picture appears on the front cover of the magazine. Mr Gafoor is a businessman and the nephew of the well-known Chaka brothers. After the ceremony, the audience had the privilege of having him signed their personal copy.
