A huge thank you to Visit Stockholm for giving us the stage at yesterday’s enlightening event! We had the pleasure of sharing our insights with key players in the industry, including hotels, restaurants, and DMCs, about the dynamic realm of congresses and conventions.

Our presentation aimed to clarify the role of PCOs and featured unique comparisons—imagine equating a congress with a music festival, and talking about the astronaut Marcus Wandt, who is currently orbiting in space! Two years ago, Marcus took the stage at one of the congresses we organized. It sometimes can be challenging to understand what we do, and these examples are just two ways we show the industry that it can also be a lot of fun!

We believe that through joint efforts and shared knowledge, we can not only enhance the appeal of Stockholm as a top congress destination but also pave the way for a more sustainable and collaborative future in the hospitality sector.

The new year started with a bang! 🌟 As we dive into 2024, we're thrilled to share some exciting moments from our first week back.

🎉 In Örebro, we blended technology and tradition in a hybrid meeting for SFOG 2024 when we presented our latest partnership and exhibition offerings. Yesterday, we opened up package and space selection, and we're already seeing a great number of partners committing to being a part of the conference this year.

🧠 Simultaneously, we spent a day with the WTC2025 organizing committee, workshopping and setting goals for the new year on how we can create the best World Tunnel Congress yet! Aside from that, it was nice to see everyone again! 🙂

🍓 And let’s not forget the big news at VK2024, hosted by Strawberry - witnessing the renaming of Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden to Strawberry Arena was nothing short of historic! In addition to that, we had a great time mingling with the industry and learning a thing or two about AI & mental health in the hotel business.

🌿 Thoughtful Sustainability, Driven by Action 🌿

Sustainability is a word that almost feels overused, but oh so important especially in today's world. During the month of September, we sat down with Almi attending workshops where we crafted a plan on how we can better communicate the work we do in this area. Why? Because sustainability is more than just a buzzword to us. It’s a genuine intent to bring about change.

During our workshop, we found out what areas from ISO26000 that are important for us:
👩‍💻 A1-A5: We're determined to reshape our work environment, ensuring it's not just productive but also keeps the individual's health in focus. Both physically and mentally.
🌏 E4: Taking pride in fostering a sustainable supplier chain. For us, it's important to partner up with companies that share the same sustainable vision and believe in the importance of this work.
🌈 R2: An area we're deeply passionate about. We recognize that diversity and equality are crucial. Strength and innovation come from varied perspectives.
🤝 S1: Partnerships for the goals! We work actively to bring world congresses to Sweden so engaging, understanding, and supporting our local community is a top priority.

As 2023 unfolds, we are curating a select list of suppliers that share our vision and meet our sustainability criteria. This isn’t just a plan on paper—it’s an action we’re bringing to life and we cannot wait to share it with you soon. 🌱

📢 Exciting Times Ahead for Us!

Over the last 6 months, our company has undergone significant growth. From our 30-year legacy of organizing local conferences in Sweden, the challenges of COVID have shaped our path towards innovation and global collaboration.

Some big news:
✅ CEO Caroline Knies now serves as Treasurer for the WPCOA.
✅ Our newest partner, Ellen Franck, has earned a prestigious spot on the IAPCO council as the Next Gen Chair.

These roles give us a front-row seat to discussions on cutting-edge industry tech and solutions to recruitment challenges.

Sustainability? 🌱 Always a focus. Echoing the sentiments of Agenda30's "Partnership for the Goals," we've amplified our efforts towards building strong, sustainable relationships right here in Sweden.

What a transformative week at IAPCO in ! We are leaving the city inspired by the incredible speakers and bringing with us the experiences of the amazing culture and tech advancements of Israel.

Our focus this week has been to find new ways of leadership in a new world. We've had discussions around work-life integration and the crucial adoption of technology into the meeting industry to both save time and money.

But the real take-away was the power of collaboration and relationship building. As Dalia Feldheim pointed out in her speech, Dare to Lead Like a Girl, there's no ROI without people. It's not a return on investment, but a return on interaction. Meetagain is eager to start building these relationships with you in 2023. Let's work together to elevate the meetings industry!

Excited to be kicking off day 1 at in Jerusalem! We're eager to learn from industry experts and be back networking with fellow congress organizers.

Last night's welcome reception was held at the Israel Museum where we got a delicious taste of Israeli culture. Today we dove into IDG (Inner Development Goals) during a thought-provoking seminar and workshop, discussing new ways to change the mindset of creating meetings with a focus on inner growth and development.

Meetagain is proud to be a part of the journey towards a more impactful and meaningful meetings industry. We're excited to continue learning and growing at IAPCO in Jerusalem throughout the week!

As we look back at 2022, it's been a great working year for everyone at Meetagain. Being able to welcome thousands of delegates from all around the world to our congresses, learning everything from diabetes research to aeronautics, is something we love to do.

We would like to take this time to thank all our customers and partners for the hard work and fantastic moments shared together. To say the least, it's been a year filled with many achievements. We would also like to thank everyone who has been a part of the Meetagain team for powering through another year - you rock!

As the new year is just around the corner, we're looking forward to continuing to build strong relationships within the industry. We cannot do the work we do without the important ingredient of . We have also spent a great deal of the past years making changes within our organization and are excited to share those updates with you all in 2023.

It has been an honor to host the 33rd Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences, 4-9 September in Stockholm.

With over 1000 delegates from 35 countries, 550 presentations, a wonderful Congress reception in the City Hall and the Congress Banquet at the Vasa museum, we are overwhelmed with the great response we have received from all taking part in the Congress.
