A 2024 Update and Announcement 📣🙌🏻
Many of you know that I stopped taking floral arrangement orders (weddings and all!) after I gave birth to my second born. I then started @canopysupplies to provide a space for the young community we had. Well, my baby is a year old now and yes, my hands do itch to take orders now and then. 🥹😆
This January, we’ve been referred two youths (aged 17) to learn floristry from us. With my heart for youths and young persons, this opportunity was very hard to turn away. However, with two kids on hand and @canopysupplies to run, we made a difficult choice to reopen orders (limited!) for the sake of giving hands-on learning to our youth florists. 💪🏻😮💨
To start off this vocational training process, we are opening Valentine’s Day orders (🎉 woohoo!). Our youth florists will go through a guided process of designing, curating and marketing our orders on this platform. As my team and I impart this skill of online business in floristry, our hopes are that they can start their own in the future to support themselves sustainably. 🙏🏼
However we will only open limited pieces for sale, and every piece that you purchase goes to supporting this not-for-profit work that we are doing. Please set your countdown reminders, as we will be launching Vday orders on 18 January 2024 (8am)! ⏰📣
