Twas was a hot night indeed. 5 belly dancers, 2 pole dancers, the uber hot , a bonfire party and yours truly Singapore’s hottest DJ (Cos I was sweating loads!). I was lucky to enough to get a wefie just seconds before my dance set began.

Over the years, I’ve watched countless “Company Got Talent” shows. I could count using the fingers of one hand on how many were above average but there was one that really stood out.
I remember that day as I was strolling into the ballroom and my phone rang just before I pushed open the door. I stood outside and answered the call. As the person on the other line spoke, I could hear the rehearsals going on. Wow! Someone is attempting a duet song from the Phantom of The Opera. When I finally entered, the rehearsals had ended but I didn’t see who they were.
When it was the time for the performance, I was eyeing for who the brave souls are (Especially since the female part was originally sung by soprano Sarah Brightman). All I see was one participant, a male. He adjusted his notes up seamlessly to cover the female parts of the song. Not up to Sarah’s level (not far off though) but remarkable enough for me to applaud with much appreciation for an eye opening and jaw dropping performance. Thank you Nick!

It’s not everyday that I see this guy but I wished I did. Extremely knowledgeable and competent sound engineer, also a marvellous DJ himself. I’d be lying if I said that I do not idolize Patrick Lai in many ways.

The truth is, I've been dealing with some health issues, personal matters and trying to take care of myself. On top of that, life has been incredibly busy and demanding lately. As much as I love connecting with all of you, I needed to prioritize my health and wellbeing. Thank you for understanding and for all of your support. Although we’ve all taken a long break, some have not seemed to be rusty but in fact, in this case, Gurmit Singh seemed to have gotten even better than I’ve last seen him. He was clearly a firecracker and the audience were spilling from their sides laughing at his jokes.
