In planning and doing floral work, understanding the characters (and pricing 😜) of the flowers are equally important as the techniques. From knowing the season of flowers, what is the vase life, suitability, and how to take care of it requires lots of self-learning and experiences. Today I want to introduce this wild flower called ‘Eryngium’ (pronounced as ‘Er-rin-gee-um’) which mainly comes in blue/grey colour. These guys are tough flowers as their vase life is pretty long (good to use for our hot weather) and give a good ‘pillar’ support to flowers with soft stems. I like them as they give a good depth and texture to an arrangement. It may look prickly but actually, its pretty ok to touch on it. It won’t hurt like touching a 🍍😜 Definitely one of my suggested flowers to use! 😉

Throwback to the floral installation that we did for Keith & Shi Lei at Caroline Mansion @ StRegis Stairway at the mansion is such a great place to be filled with flowers.💐We are happy that our couple loved the installation we did for them and seriously, this is the most rewarding part as a florist.🥰We are so honoured to be part of their most important day😊

Every year of Spring signifies another year of our floral business and we are happy to share that The Twinkle Petals turns TWO today🌟🌟🥳 During this second year, we are blessed to have couples engaging us for their weddings, customised orders as well as support from friends and business partners. 😊Today I have posted a photo of myself with my floral arrangement (which actually isn’t a lot due to limited time at every decor setup) to introduce myself😃 For those who just get to know us, I am Meiling, the owner and floral stylist of The Twinkle Petals. We adopt an unstructured style in our floral works which allows the beauty of the flowers to be best shown in their natural way. How we came about the name ‘The Twinkle Petals’ is actually pretty simple. “Twinkle” 🌟came from the inspiration from my favourite character, Little Twin Stars and “Petals” 🌹refer to the floral business we are in. When combined together, we believe ‘flowers are just like stars which keep our spirits bright at all times’🌹🌟🌹Seeing smiles from our customers loving our floral works is the most rewarding for us. We look forward to more fantastic floral journey ahead! 🌻
