Nigerian Afropop star Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe aka Kizz Daniel is under police custody in Tanzania. The afrobeats singer-songwriter failed to show up for a paid concert on Sunday night in Dar es Salaam.

The Buga-hitmaker is currently on his “Afro Classic World Tour”, which sold out in Uganda on Saturday. He was to perform in Tanzania’s coastal commercial hub before heading to Rwanda on Saturday, August 13.

He has toured the United Kingdom and the United States. In a viral video on social media, the Nigerian singer and his companions are seen being taken by Tanzanian police officers from Johari Rotana hotel to Oysterbay Police Station, both in the city centre. The reasons for Kizz Daniel skipping the performance remain unknown.

Kenyans living in South Sudan will on Tuesday vote for the first time at the Kenyan Embassy in Juba.
South Sudan is among 13 countries included by Kenyan electoral commission (IEBC) as a voting center for Kenyan diaspora voters.
Voters will however cast ballots for Presidential candidates only.

Ethiopian forces have killed more than 800 members of the al-Qaeda-affiliated militant group, al-Shabab, during days of heavy fighting near the shared border, according to Mustafa Muhumed Omar, President of the Somali Region in Ethiopia.

Among those killed were three senior al-Shabaab leaders, including Fuad Muhammad Khalaf, whose head the US had previously placed a $5 million bounty on.
