Weddings by Lark on the Strand
I will never forget my first wedding when I performed at the tip of Captiva Island on the sand beach for a wonderful couple who specified that they wanted soft music in the background throughout their entire ceremony. The music that I chose for them was a combination of Pachelbel, followed by Mozart, the Beatles, Give Me Your Hand (an Irish Waltz), Bach, Stookey (The Wedding Song), and a very joyous Gigue (a very upbeat dance) to end the ceremony. The music was an accompaniment to the ceremony...not the center of attention...and it along with the sun, sky, water, dolphins swimming near the shore, the warm words of the officiant, and the happiness of the couple and their party made the day.
As this wedding was, all weddings should be: unforgettable.
In the past, I have performed for Beach, Garden, Church, and other “on location” weddings.
In choosing music, the couple may rely on Lark on the Strand for a list of popular or classical standard wedding selections.
