Building Bridges, Connecting African & European Music Markets at the 2024 MTN Bushfire Arts Round Table!
In the spirit of the arts development pillar under MTN Bushfire’s #BRINGYOURFIRE mandate, Africa Rising Music Conference (ARMC) joined us for a third year as the official partner for the Arts round Table. This year, we successfully brought together 20 international delegates and 120 Eswatini arts industry practitioners for an insightful range of workshops and to discuss thematically driven conversations around the professionalisation and development of the arts.
Our partnership creates synergies and promotes the sustainability of creative industries through the annual opportunity to meet, engage, showcase, and activate on a dynamic range of topics and outputs between the European and African music markets.
To date, over 1000 Eswatini artists have benefited from the Arts Round Table. Here’s to a bright future of building more bridges to connect Eswatini to the world! 🚀

[WATCH] Relive the inspiring moments of the exciting EU Bushfire 2024 Schools Festival! ✨
The 13th edition of the European Union in Eswatini Bushfire Schools Festival, held the day before the main MTN Bushfire Festival, saw over 600 pupils, teachers and government officials come together to experience the magic of the arts, discover career possibilities in the creative art industry, and showcase their many talents, under the theme "Art Effect: The Transformative Power of Artistic Expression in the creative economy".
Students from all four regions of Eswatini attended, including those from the refugee reception centre in Malindza and learners with special needs.
The Schools Festival ended with a song, created and produced with UmutiMusic and the students, titled ‘United in Diversity’ which is the motto for the European Union.
Thank you to our partner, the European Union in Eswatini, for supporting MTN Bushfire’s “Bring Your Fire” movement, which calls for positive social and environmental change, through arts development initiatives aimed at nurturing local talent and fostering entrepreneurial opportunities in Eswatini’s creative industry.
