About The Artist :
ANNA CATERINA CORNACCHINI, Soprano, multi-instrumentalist, choir
director (children and adults) and composer, she graduated in 1999 from the Conservatory. Rossini in Pesaro. Where she specialized in opera singing, combining this discipline with viola and composition studies, she subsequently attended the three-year advanced singing course, where she won a scholarship, at the prestigious Accademia Filarmonica in Bologna and the master's degree in Composition of film soundtracks at the University of Pesaro. (Conservatory). She attended the "Master of vocal and scenic interpretation" at the "G. Rossini" Theater in Pesaro with the Maestros Alfonso Antoniozzi, Mariella Devia, the musical preparation of Maestro Richard Barker, with the Academy "La Bottega Peter Maag", under the Artistic Direction of Maestro Donato Renzetti and the Direction of Leo Muscato.
Before embarking on her career as an opera singer, which led her to perform in many important theaters such as the 'Millennium Theater' in New York.
She has carried out musical and choral teaching activities and Masterclasses for adults and children at music schools in Italy, the United States (New York) and China (Beijing )

She was a student of the great Maestro Luciano Pavarotti, taking advantage of his precious advice. As secondary roles, she played Marcellina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro; Frasquita and then Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen; Clorinda in Rossini’s Cenerentola and then Berta in Rossini’s Barber of Seville. She took part in the television production “Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali” debuting in the role of Pippetto Musico, by Gaetano Donizetti. Bongiovanni Editions, Bologna.
While as main roles, she debuted Mimì in Puccini’s Bohème; Santuzza in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana;
Suor Angelica by Puccini and finally Tosca, also by Puccini. In 2023 she went on a long tour in China where she performed the role of Berta in G. Rossini's Barber of Seville in 25 theaters in major Chinese cities. She is currently preparing a New Year's concert tour in China. As a soloist, in addition to singing in opera productions, she regularly gives recitals, chamber concerts, symphonic concerts and sacred music concerts around the world.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Pianist Mescal Wilson received her Master's Degree from The Juilliard School and has performed as soloist in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Kaufman Concert Hall. Her European solo recitals have included appearances at the Vienna Musikverein Brahmsaal, the Atelier in Brussels, the Janáček May Festival , chamber and solo concerts at the Indian River Festival in Canada and numerous performances in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Scotland. Ms. Wilson's recording of Szymanowski's Symphonie Concertante for piano and orchestra, on the Centaur label, was named Classical Disk of the Year by the New York Observer. She performs with cellist John Kneiling in the Sofia Ensemble.

John Kneiling , cellist made his debut at 17 performing the Lalo Concerto with the Staten Island Symphony and received his Master’s Degree at the Manhattan School of Music, studying with Bernard Greenhouse. He has performed with the Maranda String Quartet, Horizon Concerts, the Collegium Musicum of Columbia University, the Indian River Festival, and as solo cellist with Mexico State Symphony Orchestra and Encompass New Theater Opera. He and pianist Mescal Wilson formed the Sofia Ensemble to focus on contemporary works as well as the standard repertoire. They have recently performed the complete works of Otto Luening for unaccompanied cello as well as those for piano and cello, all of which will be recorded in the 2018-2019 season. Mr. Kneiling’s “Ten New Yorkers” program features works by Gotham’s most eloquent classical composers of the 20th and 21st Century.

About The Artists

First performing together in 2008, Michael Duke and David Howie have made the impetus for their duo the presentation of exciting and innovative chamber music. Of particular interest and drive for the duo has been their close collaboration with some of Australia’s most prominent and respected composers commissioning, recording and performing these new works written specifically for them. Meeting as colleagues at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the HD Duo is frequently featured on the conservatorium’s concert series. As well as performing regularly across the major cities of Australia, HD Duo has also appeared in concert throughout the world in countries such as Thailand, USA, England, Scotland, Mexico, France and French Polynesia New Caledonia, being featured artists at the North American Saxophone Alliance conference in Indianola, Iowa (2011); their UK debut in concert at “Australia House” in London (2012); the Australasian Saxophone and Clarinet Conference (2013); and recital concerts at the Festival de Mexico in Mexico City (2014). As seasoned educators HD Duo has relished the opportunity to work with students presenting master classes and workshops at institutions that include the University of Minnesota, California State University Long Beach, Indiana University Bloomington, University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, Edith Cowen University, Charles Darwin Univeristy, and the University of Queensland. In 2014 their second recording “Incandescence: Music for saxophone and piano by female composers” was released on the Saxophone Classics Label (UK).
Duke commenced his appointment as the first ever full-time classical saxophone lecturer in Australia at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Sydney University. He is a Yamaha Australia performing artist www.michael-duke.com
