Yum Khang

The festival features not only performances and shows. We also bring you the local way of life in northern Thailand. Yum Khang is a type of physical therapy practiced since the ancient times, and is now one of Thailand tradition medicine. The doctor will use his feet to moisten the liquid. (Plai juice and sesame oil) and then slowly massage on the legs.

Fon Tian, The Candle Dance.

Northern Thailand's enchantment. It's a slow dance, the candle dance. A style that is reminiscent of northern Thai dances. The dancers frequently perform in the open air at night, holding candles lit in both hands. The candle dance is thought to have been conducted as a form of worship to the sacred deities. It was previously only performed during royal ceremonies. As a result, it is a rarely seen type of dance. The magic of the dance is seeing the candle's light flicker while holding the candle in both hands.

CAD Yi Peng Lantern Festival brings the ancient dance of northern Thailand on stage. Enjoy the spectacular performance and music. Join us on the 2022 event!

There are several events happening during the night of 31st October, the Loy Kra Thong night. This year the Tourism Authority of Thailand invites all tourists to join in the ancient tradition of the Lanna people, Yee Peng. Participate by lighting Phang Pra Teep (Candle Clay pot) and hang the traditional Lanna lantern around the walls of Chiang Mai.

The Loy Krathong night in Chiang Mai will be spectacular wherever you go. The city will be lit with candles and lanterns, and the sky will shine brightly by the sky lanterns. Join us anywhere and be a part of the amazing moment.
