Life's so strange. 10 years ago today I released my first "beat tape" on internet: 16 beats that I produced with my Akai MPC 2000 XL II between 2001 and 2003. I didn't have any idea of what was "LoFi Hip Hop" back then... I was just making beats for my friends or other MCs I would like to collaborate with ๐๐๐
But according to some research I did in the last few years, "Lo-Fi Hip Hop" was born exactly in those years when I was making these beats alone in my small bed room by night, smoking a lot and trying to find my way to express my anger, my pain, my solitude, my frustration, my sadness, my melancholy...

I was totally in "The Matrix" and that's also why my friends started to call me "Nio" (or "Neo"). But this might be another story.

Believe it or not, this is one of my main inspirations for my beats and for the whole project "MammaLiTurki!" ๐โค๏ธ "Pazar" is the "street market" in Turkey and the best one in Istanbul is behind my house every Sunday! ๐๐๐
