Seeing the christmas lights, the tinsel, the holly and the ivy, the christmas trees. The look of wonder on the children's faces when they see Santa Claus for the first time.
So just 8 Days to go and Father Christmas will be making a special trip to Altinkum to see EVERYONE who truly believes.
He doesn't care if you are 8 or 80.

Somthing to do over Christmas and New Year Festivities.
With so much more help needed at the shelter to support the animals and more and more street animals appearing on a daily basis needing food ... we find ourselves having to hold more and more events.
Every little helps.
If you are around for any of our events please supporrt us..
We are the only British led, Turkish registered charity in Didim that supports the shelter and we are called on a daily for help with supplies.
We know that there is a lot of controversy about the shelter. But a lot of good work is done. Remember all the clipped eared cats and eartagged dogs that you see on the streets have been castrated there.
Without it life for the animals would be much worse.

Something new for us this year.
This will our first as CoDA, and correct me if im wrong, but its Altınkums 18th annual Boxing Day swim .... a charity event which this year will be to support the ownerless animals at didim animal shelter and on the street.
A street animal treated on the street is 10 times more likely to survive. There are wonderful people out there in the world that isn't facebook who could and do give daily meds to their street animals. But these medicines cost.
Some are bought by CoDA anyway and given to the shelter so where they are administered is where is best for the animal.
Last week we gave 3 nexgard tablets to a street feeder in Akkoy for 3 dogs with mange that are so nervous they were impossible to catch. She will keep her eye on them.

So WHEREVER you are in the WORLD on TUESDAY 26 DECEMBER 2023 @ 12.00 noon. PLEASE TAKE THE PLUNGE and help support the ownerless animals of the Didim Municipality.

I'm busy reading all of your letters and making my lists. Have you been naughty 😔Or have you been nice🤩 My elves are busy making all of the toys. While Mrs Claus 🤶cooks our breakfasts and looks after the reindeers.
