Good morning everyone, hope all is well with you and that you and your family are keeping safe during this perilous times..
I usually don't post things like this but I firmly believe that it has to be mentioned. I know that everyone is struggling in some way or the other to make themselves and their families comfortable. For those of us who are hosting events, most of our celebrations are being done privately and I'm sure with a budget.
With that being said, we the event decorators, planners and coordinators have to supply the materials and labour to execute your ideas and decor in order to help make your event a successful one. Most of the time our clients and customers ask for discounts when a cost for a job is given according to the designs choosen by our customers, which is understandable. When a customer calls they tell us it's a "small thing ah having", and then goes on to say all what they want done or send us a picture of what they would like to get similarly done..and when you look at the pic they sent or discussed with them the cost, they say that it too expensive. Please bear in mind that we have to provide materials for your jobs and we have to purchase some of these items and materials which also cost Money. With the current situation in the country, every thing is expensive, their is no Covid price for decorating fabrics, embellishments, props, flowers or figurines.So when you ask for a discount it usually come out of our labor cost which is already next to nothing. How can you want to host an event and want the place looking real tops when you say it's a "small thing" you having and don't want to spend the money for it? I know everyone has to survive and Money is hard these days..so if you hosting an event please be mindful of what you asking your contractors to provide and be conscious of the cost for the job because nothing is Cheap these days..We are reasonable individuals and we can work with your budget. You may not get everything like in the picture you sent but you will still get a satisfactory job...So help us help you.
