🎉 Birthday Bake: Homemade Opera Cake 🎂
This year, I challenged myself to create a classic Opera Cake from scratch 🍫✨
With its intricate layers of almond sponge (joconde), silky coffee buttercream, rich chocolate ganache, and a glossy glaze on top, this cake is a true test of patience and precision. Every step, from baking the delicate sponge to perfecting the smooth buttercream, was a hands-on learning experience.
It wasn’t easy, but I’m so proud of how it turned out. Celebrating my birthday with a masterpiece I made myself feels extra special. Who needs a bakery when you can create something like this at home? 💪🎂
