Some of our favorite shots from our recently concluded 5 day job for the NICAR community Resilience Seminar 2024 . This was an adventure that took us from HYATT to Fondes Amandes in St. Anns, to the Caroni Swamp, the hills of Carenage and Maracas Bay. Our country is beautiful!

Siparia-born Joenette Giselle Ife Salandy or Giselle Salandy quickly rose to fame and superstar status within the boxing community after mustering up a stunning 16-0 record; 16 fights, 16 wins (6 via knockouts). Salandy began fighting professionally at the age of thirteen and in October 2001, she fought and defeated Paola Rojas, becoming the youngest person to win a boxing title, WIBA IBERO Title, at age fourteen. Giselle, otherwise known as "Magic", was an undefeated unified light middleweight world champion, holding the WBA and WBC, as well as the IWBF, WIBA, WIBF, and GBU female titles, from 2006 to 2009. Giselle's illustrious career ended after she passed away in a motor vehicle collision on the morning of 4 January 2009 while driving west into Port of Spain on the Beetham Highway. She succumbed to her injuries at around 8:29am. She was just twenty-one years old.
