You can have ornamental plants as well as edible plants in your compound. Edible plants can also be used to decorate your compound just like we did for this client hence killing 2 birds with 1 stone. And yes, they are edible plants that can live for as long as 10 years and above. Do you ever pass an area or someone's gate, and just take a minute to admire their gardens, neat environment and fresh breeze? Well, these people take time to have a reliable and knowledgeable person or company take care of their space. Meanwhile, its not just about cutting the edge, it takes some calculation to have the right levelling (Not having corners where they shouldn't be or ditches in your hedge or bare hedges with little to no foliage) The bougainvillea was out of proportion (growing into the neighbouring palm tree) so we pruned it. Did you know that your can literally grow your own oxygen by having *mother in law* plants in your home? They are called bedroom plants because unlike other plants, they produce oxygen for the entire 24 hours in a day. So you have enough sufficient oxygen supply throughout the night. They are also one of the easiest plants to grow, as they thrive with minimal attention. This plant can go many days without watering and also does great in low light conditions.

Amazonian elephant 🐘 ear plant makes a great gift because of its elaborate, striking and beautiful tropical foliage defined by deep green leaves, which are accentuated by whitish or light green veins.

The leaves are roughly serated, and in some cases, the leaf color appears as almost purple- green which makes it even more beautiful.

The plant thrives in partial shade or bright indirect light and loose potting mix.

Today's spotlight is on Echeveria Imbricata also known as Blue Rose Echeveria.

The little blue rose succulent belongs to the crassulaceae family and is native to Mexico. It's actually an echeveria hybrid, which is a cross of glauca and mettalica.

1. It requires water when the soil is completely dry.

2. Thrives with at least 4 hours of direct sunlight (they get pink tips when they get adequate sunshine)

3. Thrives in fast well draining soil. Absolutely hates water logging.

N. B ; You can get yours in a nursery pot or a ceramic planter. Whichever you prefer.

Crushing on this chicken feet succulent. Its fleshy green leaves makes the plant absolutely stunning. Like most succulents, its sensitive and cautious about light levels. It thrives best in spots that receive partial sunlight either next to a window or on a veranda.

Did you know that the Jade plant is also known as the money tree because of its association with wealth and prosperity in some Asian countries. Mature Jade trees look like beautiful bonsai trees, with thick, branched stems and fleshy, oval shaped, red edged leaves. One of the hardest plants to kill. The spider plant is on our top list of beginner friendly plants and guess what, it's also very pet friendly making it one of the best house plants. Once thoroughly watered, this plant can go upto 3 weeks before it needs to be watered again. It can also survive in well lit rooms and even parts of the room that are not well lit. As it gets older, it develops plantlets that you can plant in another container to create new spider 🕷 plants.

Gracing our beautiful Monday is the bunny ear cactus. Also known as the angel's wings. This cactus is beautiful because of bearing clearly visible thorns/spikes. It has glochids which are actually hundreds of small spines that appear like soft pads. Because they are small, these can easily dislodge in the skin and cause an irritation thus when handling this pretty plant, you need to use gloves.
