SDMEA Day Three: Yesterday we had our NAfME group attend some more sessions, we helped out with the South Dakota Elementary Honor Choir (with some of our awesome musicians performing with them), we also got to attend the All-State Chorus & Orchestra concert which was absolutely amazing!!!

SDMEA Day One! Yesterday NSU’s NAfME headed to SDMEA’s Collegiate Day! Our day was filled with some awesome sessions, a collegiate student recital featuring our own Gavin Wollman and Cameron Gauger and our Early Musick Ensemble conducted by professor, Dr. Woods! We also had an awesome session with NAfME’s President, Dr. Deb Confredo! We also got to be in a costume contest for Halloween!!

Tonight is the Phone-A-Thon Fundraiser, please come with you 25 contacts! We will be in the blue room. You can show up at 5:00PM to get pizza and any help with getting your contacts into the fundraiser!! We are very excited to get this opportunity to fundraise, so please come and participate!

Day 3: On our final day at the SDMEA conference, the NSU students attended more sessions and helped with the South Dakota Elementary Honor Choir! The conference was a blast this year and ended with an amazing concert by the South Dakota Allstate Choir and Orchestra!

Day 2: The morning began with the college alumni breakfast at the SDMEA conference where many of our wonderful alumni were able to take a photo with our current NSU students! After another full day of sessions and spotlight performances, we ended the day with the music educator awards dessert banquet and Dueling Pianos concert!

Day 1: Our NSU NAfME Members left early Thursday morning to drive to the SDMEA Conference in Rapid City, SD! We participated in music education sessions for elementary music and performed in the SDMEA collegiate recital. Our performers were Tanner Pietz, Cameron Gauger, Dylan Blair, Jakob Walden, Dylan Eckart, and Maggie McDermott. We also met Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser who is the keynote speaker for the conference!
