Alapaha Depot Station: Events & Restoration

Alapaha Depot Station: Events & Restoration The historical Alapaha Depot has been restored and renovated. It is now available for use as an event venue.

EVENT VENUE

The Alapaha Station Depot features a beautiful event venue, complete with a large platform for entertaining, stunning scenery for photos, a kitchenette for catering, and restrooms. Our downtown park Gazebo, located nearby, is also available for photos. The little ones can enjoy the nearby playground and park. Our playground area includes a covered picnic area, playground equipment, ba

sketball court and ball park. For rental information and pricing, email [email protected]; or call Alapaha City Hall at 229-532-7475. MUSEUM

The Depot museum features a Veteran's Memorial room, honoring those who served. The history room displays the role of the railroad and early pioneers in forming the town. Included in our history is a salute to hometown artist and professional illustrator, Marshall Smith, whose work is on display. The museum also pays homage to the many volunteers of Alapaha Strong and donors who helped make this renovation possible. QUESTIONS

If you have any questions about the Depot, email [email protected]; or contact Alapaha City Hall, 229-532-7475; Mattie Davis, 229-237-0475; or Councilwoman Vickie Harsey 229-402-9533. ABOUT FUNDRAISING:

Since the restoration began in 2021, the Depot Project has received many donations of building materials, supplies, and financial funding. All of this went into bringing this beloved landmark back life. There is still work to be done to maintain and finish the building, caboose and grounds. Anyone wishing to donate may do so through the contacts listed below. DONATION INFORMATION
