#6 - If you want an unplugged ceremony, be sure to have your officiant ask everyone before the ceremony officially begins, to put their cell phones silenced and away, and for all guests to stay seated.

This will help your ceremony photos to turn out well without anyone’s faces hidden by their devices. You also don’t want to see people’s devices in your photos.

#7 - Order a few extra ceremony chairs. Some guests do not like to be seated right next to others. You don’t want guests to be standing.

Tip #5 - Choose the right officiant.

Make sure their personality and speaking style match what you’re looking for in an officiant because they will set the mood for the ceremony. Most importantly make sure they’re authorized to do so by the state and county you’re getting married. This person must sign your marriage license for it to be valid. So even if they’re ordained, a pastor, a judge, court clerk or have a notary, make sure to double-check check the marriage laws for the state where the ceremony will be held.

Tip #4 - Write down your wedding vows if you plan to say personalized vows at the wedding ceremony because nerves are real and you don’t want to forget the important points that you want to say to your love in your vows. And make it heartfelt.

If you do forget, remember to take deep breaths and focus on what comes from your heart regarding what you’re going to say to your love. Make it heartfelt and to the point.

Having your vows written down helps you practice before the ceremony mentally and aloud and even helps calm some nerves. You can even get cute affordable his & hers vow books from Etsy (see photo) or Amazon.

Today’s Tip #3 - Drink water. Another essential part of self-care for your wedding day. Make sure you stay hydrated all day because you’ll be dancing, sweating, busy, and probably drinking for most or part of your special day. Drinking water boosts energy, flushes out toxins, and supports healthy blood flow. Even mild hydration impacts our cognitive abilities and mood.

This is important for all and even more important for those of us who have summer and outdoor weddings.

Tip #2 - Eat! Don’t forget to eat on your wedding day. We recommend to eat a nice meal and have some small non-messy snacks available for you (and your bridal party). Forgetting to eat can heighten emotions, even creating anxiety for the couple and others around.

We make sure to add mealtime to the bride, groom and wedding party’s wedding day timelines. Don’t forget more than all the things that need to be taken care of, that you need to take care of yourselves. You are most important.

If you have an evening wedding, it is always nice to have a nice brunch with your bridesmaids before getting makeup done. Or even just have food available in the location you’re getting ready.

Tip #1 - Remember to bring the marriage license to the wedding for your wedding officiant to sign. Did you know that the date on the license and therefore your legal date of marriage is when the license is signed, and not the date of your beautiful ceremony. So make sure to have your officiant sign the marriage license sometime with you (B&G) on the wedding day. You’ll also need to sign the license.

Don’t worry! Heartfelt Events provides helpful suggestions, personal advice, and keep our brides & grooms on track so they don’t forget. We will hold onto the license for the couple and coordinate a time for the officiant to sign the license with you. Signed, sealed, and delivered.❤️

When designing the decor for your wedding reception or party, here are some tips to consider.

1. Mix and match centerpieces of a few different elements within your color scheme/theme to help the eyes easily move from one side of the room to the next, to give you an overall look of the room.
2. Consider the ceiling height of the event room which can give you an idea of how tall and how low your centerpieces and backdrops should be.
3. Make sure the centerpiece is not in the way of guests seeing each other from the other side of the table.
4. Add extra lighting such as candles or soft glow uplights that will add the extra touch to make it look even more beautiful.
5. Ask your wedding coordinator to help you design your floor plan and tablescape designs.
