30% off my flagship course, Bouquet Bootcamp® Online, now through Monday (code YOUROCK30).
A few posts ago, I mentioned some thoughts on Mothers Day... did you take that honest look at what did and didn’t work (without judgment ❤️), and take any action steps?
If so, what did you discover?
If you found yourself feeling like there was room for improvement, let me offer this: 30% off my flagship course, Bouquet Bootcamp® Online, now through Monday (code YOUROCK30).
Why?
Because I developed this course to provide real solutions to working designers.
🌼 For instance - if you overbought, this course will teach you about the different flower types and provide color theory insights that will help you identify what blooms you actually need to create the look you're going for. #gamechanger
🌼 Or, if you (or your team) need to speed up your production, Bouquet Bootcamp® will show you efficient design practices that apply from vase arrangements to bouquets and beyond.
🌼 Alternatively, are you looking to create better profit margins for all your efforts? Hand-tied bouquets are a great solution (faster, and no spending money on vases!)
I've heard it time and time again - designers tell me that Bouquet Bootcamp® helped make their big holidays, busy wedding season, and every day designs more beautiful, more profitable, and more successful.
So if the big holiday revealed a need, or even if you've just been thinking about it, I hope you'll take advantage of this rare offer.
Let's write your success story together 🙌🏽

Did you know flowers can be damaged if you use the wrong cutting tool?
Snips and clippers (especially dull ones!) can sometimes damage stems, inhibiting water uptake and preventing flowers from hydrating, thriving, and looking their most beautiful!
Knives, however, make easy, clean, and sharp cuts.
Floral knives can save so much time because you never prevent excessive use of your hands! Sharp clippers, shears, and snips can do a great job and play an important role in your toolkit, but can also risk pinching and crushing stems, inhibiting water uptake and preventing flowers from drinking.
A knife, on the other hand, allows you to modify stem length without causing damage and quickly can clean up and pare down a stem.

How are you celebrating the beginning of spring?
Did winter feel extra heavy this year...it did for me. So, watching the early bulb flowers come up has been such a sweet reminder that everything has a season, and (despite my seasonal allergies owning me right now 😅), I've never felt more grateful for spring.
How are you celebrating the beginning of spring?

One year ago, I was invited to compete in the Mayesh March Madness Design Star Competition where previous design stars were sent the same flowers to make anything they wanted. 💪🏽
This was a bracket style competition with a public vote and week by week, the completion was cut in half until until a winner was announced.
Our only parameters were using only what was sent to us in the box, such a fun challenge! 🎉
I had always had this idea of making a massive color forward cascade bouquet so I finally got the chance to make it happen!
We painstaking removed all foliage from the acacia to get a strong pop of yellow, wired chains of hypericum and created mini garlands and bundles of tulips, spray roses and carnation heads.
Nothing was left out.
The structure underneath was a chicken wire tube with large hyacinth woods dowels attached so we had something to hang and attach all the components.
My friend @daylen.____ and Shelby spent the day helping me make this happen and I was so grateful to have their support.
The sun was literally going down on us trying to finish and shoot it and Shelby braved the cold to get shots in natural light. 🤣🙏🏼💪🏽

Follow-up on self-care.
It’s been one week since one of the biggest flower holidays of the year. 💗So…here is your unsolicited accountability check-in. 👀😊
😮💨 Have you booked any body work?
My go to’s are myofascial massage, acupuncture with cupping/Gua sha, and chiropractic (if I’m in a hurry.)
Have you nourished yourself through food, epsom salts for added magnesium, or added electrolytes/minerals to your water to stave off those aches and pains?
If it’s not in the budget, I get it but if you haven’t, start somewhere…with something.
Think about your delivery van or your flower cooler: oil changes and regular maintenance are business expenses, right? 🚙
So why isn’t taking care of yourself considered one?
It’s all too common for us to neglect our physical health in pursuit of the grind, but it’s not sustainable. 🥺
Taking care of our bodies as florists is a business investment! 🙌🏼
Consider working this into how you charge and budget as important “after event” expenses.
Your body, and your business, will thank you. ❤️🧘🏾♀️
