Monday, November 11th, is Veteran's Day; a day we all take to honor and thank the veterans in our daily lives.

In addition, Chick-fil-A Allen will again be honoring and sharing a place of honor for fallen, missing or imprisoned service members by displaying a Fallen Comrade Table at both locations.

In setting this table, we acknowledge and remember them.

The table is small, and set for one -- Symbolizing the vulnerability of a lone prisoner against his captors.

The tablecloth is white -- Symbolizing purity of intention in responding to the nation's call to arms.

The chair is empty, for they are not here.

The wine glass is inverted -- They cannot toast and celebrate with us.

The slices of lemon -- Reminding us of their bitter suffering.

The grains of salt -- Representing the countless tears of the families.

The Single red rose -- signifies the blood that many have shed in sacrifice to ensure the freedom of our beloved United States of America. This rose also Reminds us of loved ones who keep the faith awaiting their return.

The Yellow ribbon -- Often worn on the lapels of the thousands who demand with unyielding determination a proper accounting of our comrades who are not among us. And Symbolizing loved ones hope of safe return from battle.

The burning candle --Symbolizing everlasting hope of a reunion with the missing.

The Bible -- God's Word, our Daily Bread and sustenance in times of good and challenging times! A hope that His Word is hidden in the heart of every comrade and a hope that they have received the eternal gift of God's son so loved ones will see them again!

The American Flag -- Symbolizing the love of our nation, a symbol for all and the final gift given to a grieving loved one in the loss of their service member no longer there to hold.

Remember! -- All who have served alongside them; we who have donned the same proud uniform, being sworn to the same faith and allegiance -- We will never forget their sacrifice.

(We’re frequent flyers at breakfast!) My oldest is now 9, but he’s been the president of Ana’s fan club forever. He literally tried to invite her to his birthday party when he turned 3!
They’re amazing and we love them all!!"
