Still gushing over J + T’s elopement this past Saturday. Normally I wait to post sneak peeks, but I just can’t help it. How ADORABLE are they!? They brought Texas vibes to our gorgeous mountainside. Driving all the way from Fairbanks to the infamous Hatcher Pass, these two picked a beautiful Airbnb to get ready in and away we went - frolicking in the mountains. 🏔️🤍🌵

A huge part of my job is helping you plan your dream day. This is something I adore doing and one of the ways I love to help is with drone footage. I always scout locations, parks, ect looking for awesome elopement spots, cataloging drone footage to send to my couples. As a visual person myself, it really helps with planning exactly where you might want to do a first look, exchange vows, or capture your post-ceremony portraits. 🤍🌵

Sharing more of Brianna + Christine’s big day because it’s just too gorgeous not to. 😍

This adventure was so fun, it started by the pilot flying the three of us out to the glacier where we got to take photos with the helicopter and on the beautiful glacier behind it, then we ventured out to one of the crystal glacial pools and repelled down the side of the glacier for more photos. 🏔️🤍

A huge shoutout to our guides Jay + Will at for carving out ice stairs and helping us get where we needed to go safely!

The sun came out in full force for these two! Alaska in the summer is just *chefs kiss*. This gorgeous spot is called Beluga Point, a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike to watch for beluga whales (they look like floating eggs 🥚). They tend to enjoy early mornings or late evenings, especially when there is rain. No whales this day but these two love birds made up for the view. 😉

Autumn in Alaska is simply magical. ✨

I always advise people to pick a time between May - September to visit, depending on if you want lush green views, lupine, fireweed, or the golden valley. Seasons pass so quickly here that you have to be so selective on what you’d like to see so that you don’t miss a thing! Each has their own beauty, but if you want views like these, September is your best bet.

If eloping in Alaska in September, there are two big things to remember:

1) RAIN. It rains a ton here in September, so consider a week trip that will allow for a flexible wedding day if you’re worried about rain. Personally, it rained on my wedding day and I loved it, but fog can and will cover your mountain views so consider this when selecting a location.

2) Early September is prime berry picking season. Eloping in a public place such as a park (especially on a nice day) can get crowded so timing is essential! If you wait until mid - late September you will have less crowds and the potential for what we call “termination dust” or the first layer of snow capping the tops of the mountains. My own personal favorite time of the year but it will be a little more chilly!

So many nuances to selecting the perfect date for your big day but as a seasoned local, I’m happy to help you plan it all! 🏔️🤍
