Meet Cassie and Austin our sweet couple of the week.

Facebook introduced a dating feature. I (Cassandra) had been on and off of it with more misses than hits and thought ‘I’ll give this one more try’.
I see this good looking guy in the profile pics and think ‘He’s kinda cute’ so I like his profile. I get a message that says ‘Hey Cassie, how have you been?’ My profile is under Cassandra so I’m asking myself how does he know me as Cassie, I look back through the photos and realize that hey I know him, it’s Austin, he and I went to high school together!!
After messaging back and forth for a few days Austin asked me out to breakfast and we had a good time (fought over the ticket and he won with gentleman logic, “I invited you out to breakfast, so I get the ticket.”) Afterwards we stood next to our cars talking.
Days and messages pass, and he invites me out again as we are talking, he grabs my hands and swings them back and forth (paraphrasing here) “Well I like you and I am pretty sure you like me too. Would you like to be my girl?” I had a permanent grin on my face the entire day!
We had been dating for a year to the day. That night Austin took me out on a date where he proposed.
As to why we chose Valley View, it’s a twofold thing; I saw how much my mom had busted her butt putting together my sisters wedding, and I didn’t want her to have to go through that stress and work again. So I had originally had decided to go with a church wedding. I had made an appointment to look at Valley View and forgot to cancel my appointment with Heather. My sister in all her snarky glory said, “I hope you like at the venue and absolutely fall in love with it” well here we are 😁
