It's tempting to say yes in the excitement of the moment when your friend asks you to be a bridesmaid but can your friendship survive this stressful time?

Before you say yes (or go back if you already did) ask the bride a few clarifying questions

-How do you see being involved in the time leading up to the wedding?

-How available do I need to be in this time for you? As much as I am now? More? A lot more?

-What expenses do you see for the bridesmaids?

-If there are any trips that you think we might go on?

-How many other bridesmaid will there be, who are they and will they have similar expectations?

-Do you have a rough idea of a budget foe the bridesmaids?

I spent last weekend at an amazing conference. After 23 years in the wedding industry and 10 years in my current business as a wedding coordinator, I wanted to spend some time working on my mindset and goal for the next 10 years. After lots of notes, tears and conversations...

Here is what I realized...

LIVE- If we are not present in our daily lives and designing our days to bring joy to ourselves and the world, then the days and years will slip away quickly without us having lived them.

LOVE- Not all work needs to be a grind. Leaning into the things I love to do will build better momentum and growth then just putting in the hours.

MATTER- Helping others to build and grow their businesses gives me a sense of deep satisfaction that I don't get in my everyday work. I want to help others succeed and grow better and faster than I ever could.

With this refreshed mindset there will be some changes and adjustments as I restructure my business to best fit new goals, interests and priorities. I hope you join in my journey with me either as a customer or friend.
