Today I’d like to share that because of a future move from Anchorage, my beloved Piñata Shop will be storing away the hot glue gun, scissors collection, streamer assortment and washing that yucky paste pot and apron. It has been an exciting, busy and very festive 5 and a half years of you guys and I partying together!

I will forever be grateful for your support, fun ideas for me to craft and the chance of not only meeting you, but the friendships The Piñata Shop gave me, which also made me feel part of the community. I won’t be closing this page, you can always refer to my pictures if you’re feeling brave enough to recreate them or better yet, to have that crafty someone in your life make it for you 😉 I might share something silly or piñata related posts here and there, but most importantly for me to look back and remember the fun times!

Gracias siempre for the love, for making me part of your special event through the years and for trusting me with your cool piñata ideas! Don’t forget to celebrate in a small or big way the little joyful events in your lives.

Flash back Friday to this workshop I taught fully in Spanish at West High last month; as always I do love and embrace the chance of teaching and sharing my culture and experiences with 128 new friends, I’m not only amazed of their Spanish knowledge, but also about their creativity when it comes to crafting their own mini and their curiosity to learn more about Latin America and their traditions! Gracias for your time West High!!🙋🏻‍♀️💖🖍✂️

Late Halloween post! this was for sure another unusual-yet cool and creative piñata request I had😁 a llama piñata for a kid to wear as a Halloween costume👻🦙🎃!! The llama lover had several chances to wear her costume at many events in town and we even ran into her and her trick or treating party on Halloween day! I loved it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Aww to this awesome and fun couple who decided to celebrate their wedding on Halloween! His & Hers sugar skulls piñatas made for such an event! ✨🌹💀💀❤️‍🔥

Fun fact: these gorgeous 2.5 tall piñatas took me the longest to ever make! The decorative paper technique I used were hundreds of individual tissue paper squares each hand cut/rolled and glued with a hot glue gun in order to achieve that unique look! One took 24 hrs to complete, the other one 26 hours….👩🏻‍🎨 the result: I was honestly amazed about a specific request I didn’t know I could create, but I knew I was going to make the couple proud of it! Definitely this set is up high in my all time favorite piñata creations and share about it with clients, at workshops, with family and friends ✨

Here are the pictures I got from my contact at the Ak VA Healthcare System event! Loved the the attendant’s questions, piñata’s experiences at past parties, the interest they showed about my work; and now they are just patiently waiting for the day they can smash both the ‘rona and the syringe to get a break from all the hard work they do for our vets!💖🙌🏻

Bowling pin was finished and given away, crafted my last covid germ piñata and had a syringe piñata demo at the Alaska VA Healthcare System last week where I was invited as a guest during their Hispanic Heritage month celebrations, hope to share more pics with you all soon! Happy Friday Eve!🤗

Hello there! Even if I’ve been a bit quiet in my page, it’s been busy at the shop between individual orders, a private workshop (more coming this and next month) and the usual fall orders I get. So thank you all who have scheduled their piñatas with me. I’m pleased to say that 🙌🏻 I’M BOOKED 🙌🏻 for the reminder of the year, hoping to enjoy the holiday season with family and visitors in December.

And just like that, school is officially over in Alaska! 😱 and since the seasons have their own schedule over here, summer has as well started for us☀️🌈. Congrats not only to all the students, but also to the teachers and school’s staff who did their best to adjust to the ever changing rules… special congrats to a teacher who just finished his first year teaching at a Anchorage high school! Thanks to our teachers for all they do for our kids🙌🏻
