Wallpaper! She’s metaphorically and physically usurped every room in our house 😂. So now I’m having waaaay too much fun making her playroom out of my old office. I put up this adorable floral vintage wallpaper today and got so excited I went out and bought a paint sample and already painted a wall before bedtime 😂. Can’t wait to see how this all comes together 👀

It’s like where’s waldo but where’s doggo in every photo 🐕👀. I had a grand time exploring the trails, getting lost, rummaging through ruins, & finding rock walls with these two. And Dohv w the irresistibly fluffy tail 😍. Now I reeeeally can’t wait for their wedding in shenandoah in just a couple months ⛰️☀️

One heck of a day celebrating these two & their lives together 🪴🙌 their eco-friendly decor included tons of potted plants that guests could bring home, macrame hanging plants as their altar, dried bouquets, and a dried flower petal toss down the aisle 🍂😍

Our big girl is 5 months old 🌱. She loves watering the plants with her dad every day, smiling at everyone, and playing outside on the denim quilt my great grandmother made for me when I was a baby ☀️. She’s pretty dang fun to live alongside ♥️

The night before we went on this epic hike to take these epic pictures I was hurling in epic proportion. 🥴😂 But nothing was going to hold me back from shooting bridal portraits in the rockies. Gatorade, three saltines, & hype got me up this mountain and it was absolutely amazing ⛰️. On the way back, Allie & I sat on the mountain soaking in an incredible sunset and exchanging honest conversation while swatting mosquitoes away. It’s a hike, a collection of photos, and an evening of connection I’ll never forget. ☀️

I rediscovered these year-old downstairs bathroom progress photos while I was reminiscing on keo. So now I want to post them even though this “final” photo isn’t completely final - we frosted the window, took down the feathers, & added some stone art pieces. And the perfectionist in me cringes but since I won’t be able to take a new one, I’ll post these to bring me joy 🙃.

1️⃣ The first is from last year when we finished the renovation, 2️⃣ the second is our lipstick paint job that we did when we first moved in, 3️⃣ the third is gutted during our big reno, and 4️⃣ the fourth is how it looked when we bought the house

We said goodbye to Keo yesterday 🤍 he was 17 and grew up with me from 13 to 30 - from middle school to the birth of our baby. Keo was an angel sent from heaven that filled our lives with love, laughter, joy, and snuggles. We’ve been blessed to enjoy him as long as we did and to give him a full life, especially in his golden years ♥️

Nursery is ready when you are bb 🤗🎉 I’ve had this space ready for months 😂 it was the first thing I dove into, I wanted to focus on the exciting parts that I loved doing while reality (and maybe a little panic) set in.

Hunter built an entire wall & doorway to make this room out of our upstairs loft while I chose paint colors & started FB marketplacing 😂. It’s all a mix of thrifted, vintage, new, DIY-ed, and handmade 🙌.

Once the room was designed I needed something else to do with my hands so I started crocheting the stuffed animals & quilting my first (and probably only 😂) quilt. It’s fun to see it all come together and imagine our weird little child enjoying the space & toys one day 🥰

This pregnancy journey has had a good amount of mental challenges for me - the general concept of being pregnant, the labor & delivery ahead, being a parent forever, having to keep a baby alive, life changing dramatically forever when I love the life we’ve had - really all of it. I’m confident in the deep parts of my soul that this is the right path & God’s plan. I know he has a lot of greatness ahead in store and that’s what we set out to discover when this all began. These photos have meant so much to me and remind me of the real beauty & goodness we’re experiencing instead of focusing on the unknown which my brain loves to do. Very grateful to Hunter for being a wonderful teammate and to for capturing these moments ♥️
