Thank you to West Bend Printing for helping us with the research on the history of our location while undergoing our construction project! In the 1800’s Canal Rd was a a hub of industry with the bustling canal transporting goods along its waters. So many products were being made right along this street as it was the Main Street of town at that time, before the railroad came to town. Our venue sat on the site of a Tile Mill, baked in a large furnace, and then the tiles were used to drain land in the area to make new farmland. Getting ready for our next steps! Concrete and landscaping are getting ready to start this next week! Here are just some of the plants for our perimeter! Our featured landscaping around the chapel will be done by Creative Landscapes. Our concrete will be poured by Flat Rock Concrete. Perimeter plants from Strait Gate. It started as a walk to the back of the property with an idea, then it turned into a dream, then a conversation we just kept coming back to. After many meetings, lots of research, detailed planning, and waiting we have a big announcement…This month we will be breaking ground on large expansion to our wedding venue property at Grant’s Hall. This will be the Old Canal Outdoor Wedding Chapel Property. This addition is located on the East side of our property and aptly named after the historic canal that once flowed right this spot. Waters will once flow again in a water-feature stream bed that will greet guests as they cross the waters situated between two ponds. The outdoor wedding chapel will cover guests for ceremonies from May-October and feature chandeliers and padded seating. A bridal cottage with a restroom will be conveniently located on the new premises for brides and bridesmaids to get ready to walk down the aisle. The entire space will feature professional landscaping.We have an amazing team of local contractors lined up to make this an outstanding experience.
