Weddings with The Ever Lea We are a small urban flower farm in the heart of the Fox Cities in WI. We love it when we get to use our flowers to design your wedding day! Hi! And then bonus!

With over ten years of experience, we are looking forward to bringing our passion to serve you! I'm Shanna and I have been an event florist for over ten years! I currently own a small urban flower farm and there is nothing that makes me prouder and more fulfilled than growing flowers! I get to use those beauties in the weddings I design for YOU! We have reached the last days of January and it’s been a long, cold month. This is the time of year I’m seed starting and finalizing detailed plans for the flower farm this season. I’m going into my 11th year as a floral designer and my 4th year as a farmer. There are so many exciting things happening in 2025 and I’m meeting new couples every week as we go over the beautiful floral details for their wedding day. As always you are all bringing me so many amazing ideas and I’m incredibly excited to incorporate what I grow into those plans!

When planning the floral with couples I try to highlight the activities of the day where they are most likely to be. In this case the rich, vibrant floral that was initially featured on the ceremony arch was quickly transformed over to the kings table for the reception. As you can see this made for a dramatic statement piece for the remainder of the celebration. Thank you Yessenia at for bringing this amazing couple my way and for being a wonderful partner and collaborator for this beautiful day!

Lee & Amanda’s early November wedding in Door County was a celebration of their love and Lee’s service in the U.S. military. They were gifted a beautiful wedding day as part of Hitched Heroes and it was my pleasure to design for them. Thank you Lee and Amanda for your dedication to our country & freedoms. 💙

I loved it when Katie requested an ombré style color story for her bridal bouquet. I remember meticulously placing the blooms. And of course, adding special blooms from what I grow. 🥰

As a flower farmer I will admit I am a huge fan of vibrant, colorful floral. But as a wedding florist it is hard not to appreciate the sleek, timeless look of an all white bouquet. 🤍 This one features dahlias and cosmos so you know what to request when you’re hiring me to design for you 😘

Okay, a bouquet in a basket on a vintage bike?? Yes please 🙌🏻 Add some hops draped on a homemade vintage wall paper backdrop and you’ve got a great place for a guest lounge and photos. I’m missing summer and my garden and this has all the summer vibes.

It is incredibly exciting to be able to design for couples using flowers I grow. I have been designing weddings for over ten years and just a few years into this endeavor I realized I wanted growing flowers to be part of my story. We started with a small garden and this is where dahlias became my passion. The Cafe au lait dahlias had just hit the market and was becoming quickly popular with couples. But dahlias don’t survive shipping very well so it truly is better to find a local source. I’m definitely a dahlia fanatic and others have joked I would rip up my entire two acre property just to grow them everywhere. They aren’t wrong. 😂 I especially enjoyed designing for Maryam & Ivan as they wanted to embrace the full spectrum of colors. This is honestly a dream whenever I do receive a wedding that is this colorful. It affords me the greatest opportunity to utilize and show off so much of what I grow! The things I’ve learned over the years 😀

That giant fan in the background made this a more comfortable set up. Good lord, this one was a STUNNER. Tropical greenery, gold painted monstera & robellini accents, white orchids, pampas grass, anthurium, anemones and nude-blush Quicksand roses. Summer Synder with @weddingsbynancy outdid herself in bringing this wedding together. It was my honor to design for Marena & Steve. Thank you @on_a_whim_events for the breathtaking canvas we used to create this day!

My Story

I began this adventure in February 2015 shortly after planning & having my own wedding. As a small child I would dream of one day opening a wedding super center, and often found myself dabbling with flowers, crafts, art, home décor, holiday projects, photography, you name it! I don’t think I ever thought I would actually start a wedding business when I grew up, but I could not be more content & proud of myself as a woman entrepreneur.

I LOVE meeting new couples and hearing about their personal vision of their wedding day. I can picture it as they write or speak. And then to be able to take flowers and evoke that dream, that vision is my happiness! It never, ever gets old for me to see each and every couple’s big day come true and come to life. Because it lives in our minds only for SO long!

I just want to continue to grow within my craft, build satisfying relationships with my couples and have this be my amazing job for as long as I can possibly still derive joy from it! You can bet I am excited to hear from and begin the process of showing how flowers can give you that incredible added touch to your day! Have you ever envisioned a photograph from a wedding without flowers in it? There’s just something about those flowers that makes it all come full circle. That, “ahhhh...this is just right” feeling; the cherry on the wedding sundae.
