First-Looks, are you for or against them? You guys voted pretty evenly so let’s talk about both choices. I also had some ask, what exactly is a first-look? It is when the bride and groom choose to see each other in their wedding attire before the ceremony begins. Otherwise they wait until the moment the bride walks down the aisle.

~Want to wait until the aisle to see one another on the wedding day?

✨ There will not be such a rush before the ceremony to make sure the bride and groom have their moment alone and to capture photos of that moment.

✨ There will most likely be tears involved in a first-look. Have some makeup nearby for touch ups.

✨ You will have that moment of surprise as the bride enters the aisle.

~How about the upsides to having a first-look?

💫 You get to enjoy a moment alone.

💫 Your photographer will be there to capture the intimate moment.

💫 This also allows for some photos before the ceremony of the couple. The wedding party and/or just the parents can also be included in pictures prior to the ceremony.

Just remember it is YOUR day. Adjust it to what is important to you. If you are on both sides of this decision maybe think about an intimate moment where you don’t actually see each other. Maybe you hold hands without facing one another, pray together, exchange letters, etc. We can get very creative with this. We can work together to plan out the details that fit you best!

✨A frequently asked question is when should you send your Save the Dates to your guests? You need to send them out a minimum of 6 to 8 months in advance. If you are having a destination wedding it’s best to send them out as early as possible.

✨ Your actual Wedding Invitation should be sent out 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding. Add little tidbits of information with or to your invite. Such as, will a meal be served, casual or formal attire, etc. You can even send a timeline card with your invite.

Day-of Coordinator, what does that mean? Actually at Rosemary and Ivory we do not use the term “Day-of” because Coordination cannot begin on the day of your wedding. So, what is a coordinator and why do you need one?

*A coordinator is going to manage your wedding in the final days. You have all of your planning taken care of, you are 30 to 60 days out from your wedding and it is time for you to relax and enjoy! That’s where our coordinators come in and handle the ex*****on of your plans, take care of communicating with your vendors, create a detailed timeline, coordinate the rehearsal and wedding day, and so much more 😀
