Yesterday we said “goodbye” to our precious Jean. She was like a mother to us. She was our children’s “Baba”. She was our family. Jean lived and loved so generously. She is an example of how we should all live, joyfully and with a light that burns so bright that the world seems a little darker without her. She was the FIRST person through our doors on our soft opening day in March of 2023. She spent countless meals with her friends and family at TKT always enjoying either the meatloaf or the crawfish lasagna. Followed with bread pudding. She carried an infectious laugh and a smile you couldn’t resist. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We will always cherish her and the amazing memories she gave us. We miss you Baba.

Back to the basics!

This might be a little weird. But when I was a kid I loved helping my grandmother cook. It’s probably where I got my passion for the kitchen. But one of my best memories were all the cousins sitting on the front porch shuckin corn, snapping purple hull peas, and turning the homemade ice cream maker. So today I thought I might try it with the girls. Anybody have memories of this ?
