⚡️LIFE/BIZ UPDATE⚡️

For the last 3 years I have been so fortunate to be a part of dozens of couples journeys. We laughed and cried together and I will never be able to top the amount of love I witnessed.

Amber Slimm Events will be dialing back on accepting new clients as I have accepted a position as an Events Manager here in Asheville. This is truly a dream come true and I wouldn’t have been prepared to take this role if it wasn’t for all the strength and knowledge I received from fellow vendors and my amazing clients.

To my current 2022-2023 clients this means we’ll be partying even harder on your special day!

To all my vendor folks out there, I’ll be reaching out for collabs and TONS of creative projects for my new role!

PS don’t worry, I’ll still be bombarding this page with tons of eye candy goodness from past present and future weddings!

Smoke show alert 🔥

Let me tell you about how Kathryn and Josh were the most inspiring couple I could have asked for!
Last year we started with a “moody garden” themed mood board and I did not walk, I RAN to my vendors to help collab and honey we delivered.

I looked forward to this wedding so much because of who I got to work with and I’m so thankful for the badass folks in this industry who will help any clients vision come to life and have a damn good time doing it.

This past weekend I had a two weddings back to back and I would do it all over again just to relive this wedding.

I’ve never… ever been in a room where the love for a couple consumes every molecule of your being and you just can’t help but feel like you’re floating.

At the stroke of midnight we definitely wanted to keep going but the bus driver threatened to turn the bus into a pumpkin if we didn’t get everyone on 😂

I can’t wait to share more about this New Yorker - Scottish wedding in a botanical fortress.

With half the guests from New Zealand you could feel the love in the room for these two having traveled literally across the world and I not so secretly wanted to know everything about NZ and if they had visited Hobbiton.

Hello romantic tablescape of my dreams✨

This shoot will absolutely go down as one of my favorites. We started with a simple blue color story and it evolved into this European romance novel of a vision that I couldn’t get out of my head.
If you know me you know I love a narrative and often daydream of how to make fantasy concepts into reality.

January weather in AVL is like “snow rain wind, repeat” and I’m not here for it.

Looking through this album I can feel the warmth not only from the August sun but from this real life fairy tale couple I was so fortunate to work with.

Weather is always my least favorite thing to talk about with my clients but, it happens. Within one hour we had a huge down pour and then sun and then another storm in but honey they rolled with it. We certainly can’t change the radar but we can adapt and make it work. ✨ L + C you’re amazing

Unpopular opinion: 2021 was the best year of my life for so many reasons.
✨
I set out with the intention to INVEST in myself in every way possible. I turned that investment into challenges and experiences I will cherish because of the growth I’ve seen. We also bought our first home and that alone has been my most prized moment.

2022 I’m going to invest even more and I want to say thank you to my past/present clients, vendor friends and all who have been there along this wild ride that is life.

What. A. Summer. ❤️‍🔥
From Hot Springs mountains with no service to marinas in Charleston it was A BLAST.

Social media posts took a major backseat this summer so I could focus all my time and energy into planning and it paid off big time. Staying centered and focusing on my goals has been overwhelmingly rewarding and I couldn’t ask for better clients. The last few months we’ve laughed, cried and celebrated together and I’ve learned so much about myself. This job is f*cking awesome.

We also are purchasing our first home which is a whole other level of crazy so I wanted to share a few BTS photos of some of the most beautiful weddings I had the pleasure of coordinating this summer. I can’t wait to share more!

But how do we translate all of those memories and personalities of you both into a one day? How do you want to tell your story?

Who else took a deep breath when they woke up this morning to manifest all that power boiling inside?

The past year has been terrifying, but rewarding in the sense that layers were shed and your truest selves came through. We found community within this industry and bonded together and I think that’s the most sacred thing.

I CANT WAIT to get back out there and create magical concepts like what we did here.

Venue walkthrough Adventures at

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of this property and hike around as he pointed out quirky landmarks, the evolution of the land and decades of projects he had been working on.

This venue sinnggsss the authentic Appalachian wedding experience and every inch of this place has been cared for and loved.

What I adore most about being a wedding vendor is having the opportunity to meet incredible people and connect on how we can create a special place for others to gather.
Life is wild and I’m loving it.

Happy Fall Equinox! Today is all about balance and giving thanks for what you’ve accomplished so far this year.

All of the fall couples out there you have a special place in my heart as my anniversary is in October. There’s something about the crisp autumn air while you sit next to a fire with your lovey that just feels right.

Holy moly today feels like Autumn outside and I’m SO ready for cooler weather.

Sharing some sneak peaks of this moody dream of a styled shoot myself and a few creators collaborated on. What I loved the most about this project is that every person got to have complete creative freedom and showcase their art so beautifully.

Oh she does styling too?! YES! I love putting together table arrangements and creating color palettes that work with your vision.

Summer showers are unpredictable and always show up the least opportune times but lawd I love the mist that rolls through once a storm passes.

After hours of working in the rain, the fog came out and I jumped up and yelled “it’s done!” And the sun broke through the clouds the second the guests arrived at the reception.

The magic that came together this day was for the books and these girls right here danced the night away ✨
